Foxtel has put Steptoe and Son onto its Classic channel and I am absolutely desistated at the condition of the recordings.. I'm fearful that the greatest sitcom of all time will be lost forever if somebody doest get very tech savvy and rescue this warm, funny, tragic, beautifully written, directed, structured and sensationally acted gem... Even the music score is brilliant and haunting with the theme's many variants sounding thoughout the episodes to set a certain mood.. Breathtaking... Truly breathtaking...

These restored clips are quite amazing - dont know what you have used - but I wish the Beeb had put in the effort you have. Some of the old B&W episodes are in a pretty sorry state. Cleaning and sharpening the contrast and stopping that annoying shaking makes them much more watchable. Wish there was somewhere to download your versions!
