I have a bit of background with 'Huskavarnas,' 'Huskvarnas,' 'Husqavarnas,' and most importantly, Husqvarnas. First, HusKvarna, where the company HusQvarna was started in the late 1600's by the King of Sweden to build muskets for his army. If you look at the name as 'Husk varna,' it is Swedish for 'remember to warn.' I first started running Husqvarnas when I managed a forestry research station at WSU. I have also been building handcrafted log homes for over 50 years. I still (not Stihl) have at least 25 Husqvarnas in my shop. I would have hung that poor saw from the rafters in my shop as a reminder of a sad ending to a very good saw. I will save this video for use in teaching the log building courses that I teach. I have a whole series of photos and videos of "How not to build a log home." This will have a place in that lineup.

Huskvarna is a Swedish city and that is where the Husqarna factory was located before it was sold to Italy. So Husqvavma is nothing and absolutely for sure not anything chainsaw related.

I have a Husqvarna chainsaw and a mower. Don't try getting certain parts for mowers. I had to have a bolt specially made after waiting a year for a response from Husqvarna and several other places. Most expensive bolt I ever bought.

That cylinder brush is not a honing brush of some new type, is it? If it is I've never seen one like it. If it isn't you should have honed that cylinder with a new ring after all that work you did. With this much skill you should have made a few hundred doing this, which is how much a new Husq costs, but still not as good as that older one

If you raced before 1986-7 then Husq was Husq, then an Italian company bought the bike name, didn't buy the tooling or the engineers. They stayed in Sweden and started Husaberg. Eventually KTM bought Husaberg then bought Husqvarna bikes. Guns and power equipment remained a separate enterprise. Those 1986 bikes also leftovers sold as 1987 by the Italian company were really well made bikes. Now they are good bikes, just like KTMs

@@MitzvosGolem1Cagiva was the greatest moto.company in Italy but not marketing wise, with little funds they had the Japanese industries up against the wall in GP500 I remember the blue 125s the red 250s and the green open class of that era :) I must be a few years younger then. Last I had an auto 420 with worn out top end a new 500 top end, but passed the project to someone else. Something about the sound of these bikes, as if the rest were made of hollow aluminum and Husq,. was made of SS Great bikes to work on, every last washer and spring felt like indestructible.

@@AvaPxiaO Yeah Cagiva was fast 125 in mid 80s . Italy makes awesome bikes. I use Meteor pistons aftermarket cylinders on chainsaws from Italy better than OEM often. I miss the air cooled Swedish made Husqvarna ,Maico, Montessa, Ossa Bultaco . KTM is excellent. Gas Gas also KTM. Beta bikes I think still Italy or Spain . 👍

I had a beta trials with the older pentagon cylinder, I thought I was wearing that thing to bits and pieces, kept checking the top end and it looked like new. It was indestructible. Beta, aprilia, villa, simonnini, Swm, were among the few Italian names on MX tracks in Europe in the late 70s. Look wise I thought KTM (US Penton) was the best. @@MitzvosGolem1

Husqvarna is arrived on the professional market after Stihl, that's why it seems to be dead (for some persons), but it's a fake. For the chainsaw, the too, husk and Stihl are the best, simple to repair, simple to work, lot of spare parts anywhere, and.... Husk is cheaper than Stihl on the spare part, well, let's joke!!! NB : you can also buy a jonsered, it's cheaper and...it's a huskvarna, low cost.

Good job making that dirty saw run! Husqvarna is not bankrupt. Also that's the ugliest stinking Husqvarna saw I've ever seen. Hot pink is not a color for a chainsaw. I own a Husky 365 and I can verify that that one is indeed a genuine Husky 365. Its a 70cc saw and will pull a 24" chain just fine.
