Be sure to clean the + contacts inside the battery casing. Oxidation will cause lower voltage and slow playback speed kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q8ygapmr0NvUnZs.html At 2:13 push the silver plate to the right, to disengage, it's has like a clip with the black plate with the buttons

You know what they say: "A picture is worth a thousand words". Video, even more so. Thank you so much for this! You detail disassembly, cleaning and reassembly - but what about lubrication? Surely all these thousands of nylon, metal and brass parts need a squirt of oil or grease somewhere. Do we just follow the old "if it moves, grease it" rule? Will certain oils or grease harm the nylon or plastic in these babies?

Really interesting and beautiful device. I have one too. But met a problem. The intake assembly needs lubrication. But I can not disassemble it. Did you ever do this operation? Lubrication of passive flywheel is not a problem, bu capstan has a gear which does not allow to take it out.

I have one with the same belt problem, where can i Buy a fitting one? Also, it's only one belt? Another question, how much would this cost? I mean the recorder, both broken and in working condition. Also what is the cost of the belt? Sorry for so mant questions!

The belt doesn't cost much. A few years ago I brought 100 mixed belts from ebay. I am sure you can still find some under $ 10.00. I am not sure about the price of the recorder. Sorry.

hello, i bought this recorder but mine has a rechargeable battery case. so i bought a new battery case (for normal batteries) but it does not fit. do you have any tips?

This is not the model that went to the moon it was the tc 50 and we did not go to the moon in 1967 we went to the moon on 1969.

How did you know the belt sizes? Do you have a service manual?
