That’s a real classic haven’t seen one of those since n years. Looked like it really wasn’t in that bad of shape. Someone must not have used that much. Really nice job cleaning and restoring. Thanks for the post. Really like seeing these classics come back to life

I have it's bigger sibling, the S-25 CVA. Superb little saw. Incredibly easy to work on, especially for a top handle.

That exact chainsaw is what I started with. I had it until 2011 when I got rid of it.

I am surprised you was able to get a carb kit for that old saw. It looks like that old saw as seen very little use and is in great shape.

I happened to inherit one of these a few years ago. To my surprise it fired up without too much hassle despite having sat around for many years. The reviews I read of Poulan aren't favourable and have me wondering, is that true of these older models? Thanks for the detailed video.

Thanks for the comment. The older Poulans are in a different league than the ones we have today. I really love these old chainsaws.

Nice. Looks new. Got any idea where to get a piston and cylinder kit a for a Stihl 011? Stihl doesn't have'em. 👍🍻

Thanks for the nice comment and the view. Check with LilRedBarn. I know they have the pistons and rings. You may have to get a good used head though. Here is a link to the piston and rings kit: www.lilredbarn.net/product-p/pksh010-36mm.htm

If you have time, I can't find any forums or videos, internet sites or anything about my Poulan Super 1800 Woodsman 16" bar chainsaw.... it takes a certain chain size that I can't figure out or find anywhere... S56 says 91 on the teeth that go in the bar, and it's a 0.063 witch is the part I can't find anywhere with the 16" bar detail... found something that says it all, besides the S56 and the 16" bar length... doesn't say the bar length on the link I found, and it's not S56 seems like Is there anything I can do if it doesn't exist anymore? Will a newer 16" bar and chain like an .050 version work for this saw I have?

Sorry it took so long to respond to your question. My father has been in and out of the hospital and rehabilation and it has had me side tracked. However, I believe I have the answer to your question. The 16" guide bar that came with the saw should be a 3/8 LP, also known as 91 chain, with a gauge of .050. I have never seen a .063 gauge chain on a Poulan, especially on a small chainsaw like this one, unless somebody did a switcharoony at some point in the past. The 56 you are reading on the guide bar should be the number of drag links in the chain. So to recap the specs of the chain you need are as follows: 3/8 LP, .050, 56DL Here is the chain on amazon: amzn.to/3ycm6ZT Thanks again!
