I own a Mk1 Mini racecar and have had Minis all my life - I just love them. I know these things are always subjective, but that Union Jack is just criminal - a rare mistake by Drew. Sure it sold, but not as easily as it would have done if left original - I wonder if the new owner has put it right yet....

Sorry I disagree. I'm an aussie, grew up around the race track in the 80's (dad was a driver). The Union Jack is quintessentially on point. and there were a lot of them exactly like that back then. Drew is 100% on point.

@@Cranki_T Don't apologise Cranki - as I said, it's a subjective thing - and a lot of your old Aussie racing Minis were absolutely super-cool - saw some online recently (at Bathurst, I think). I am the biggest patriot going but I'd have the flag off that canvas tilt and replaced by a far more subtle enamel flag on the wing. There are endless car modifications which I think are wrong - but which other folk love - I'm sure I committed my share of 'bad-taste' car crimes in the 80's.

I didn’t know they made mini’s like that. How cool. 1st time ever seeing one in my life. Awesome car….could do without the Union Jack though 🙂

Union jack on the back should have been just the flap like the one in the shop.. on the mini it goes all the way to the side panels on the back. Too much and that's why Paul didn't like it.. should have made the rear flap reversable....

I like My Mini's 🚗 & Car programs but Stick to antiques ? Drew with 'T' ., also Enzo . ( Correction free ? Never ! ) Hope it was Rust proofed .

A principle of selling cars is to appeal to as wide a customer base as possible. What does he do? Aims it at the smallest niche market possible. His paddock audience seemed totally underwhelmed especially with the “really classy” Union Jack. It just proves he hasn’t a clue when it comes to cars.
