The inside is coated in a factory Kozmaline coating. Other than touching up the spot I rewelded the arm bracket on. I just wipe it down. Sometimes if the original coating it gone, I will apply a corrosion inhibitor or if its real bad like in my latest restoration kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLNxpdJepse3Y3U.html fully rust treat then paint inside THEN coat the inside.

Haha Thanks, It was hard back in the day to get used to hearing my voice and editing it. But I've learned to just try to act like we're all at a digital car show or something in the moment, haha

I left the factory paint and corrosion inhibitor intact everywhere except where I removed for welding (that 1950's paint is much better than todays voc free "green" krylon paints or protection. Seemed wasteful to strip a factory water barrier to attempt a reseal due to a small 1"x1"hole.) Where I welded I sprayed with that FLEX SEAL stuff AND a few layers of undercoating over anything not sealed from the factory. I spent 2 decades restoring Volkswagens for celebrities and politicians. I know how to seal. I just also didn't strip this whole unit down because I don't think the damaged warranted a FULL metal restoration as I couldn't in good conscience sell this unit for much seeing what its been through. I think as is I had more man hours in it than I got paid for. But for me its about saving swamp coolers. . .
