That is some beautiful wood. I think that wood is the kind that does not decay due to the natural oil content in it. Under all that dirt was a gem.

That's right, this wood is not destroyed by termites.

I wonder why the worker always used his nail gun to tighten up glued joints rather than clamping until the glue has set?

It seems that using a nail gun will be stronger and more durable than using glue

Please explain why you did not tighten up the splits in the table top. Also, after using the round sanding disks on the side grinder, did the sanding marks show through?

I use coarse sandpaper first, and fine sandpaper last so the surface will be smooth before painting.

You say "Just not worth it, sorry." but leave no reason why. Constructive criticism needs an explanation. 1) Did you mean the table was not worth saving? As wood is becoming an expensive commodity, saving any wooden item is cheeper than bying new, we do not need to add any more to landfills plus it's saving trees as well. or 2) did you mean it wasn't an enjoyable video? Can you do better? i would like to see that. Given what tools he has now i think it was a great restoration, everyone has their own way of doing things and it works for them.
