This WWII (c. 1942-1945) Camillus Cutlery Co Engineers pocket knife features all steel construction. My goal was to stop the active rust while preserving some of the original patina. Watch to see what I used and how it turned out.

Camillus made nice things... now I think it is made in China... I have an old Camillus very nice... Nice work, you just clean and respect the original finish... Great work. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Those are awesome blades. I have this exact 4 line knife with Brass Liners, picked it up at an estate sale for $5. It was the 2nd KZfaq video i ever uploaded. Thanks for sharing!!!

Every time I see one of these knives I am tempted to buy it! What's not to love; bone handles, WWII history, etc. Can't argue with the $5 deal! Thanks for watching...

For a ww2 era knife even in the uncleaned condition that would be on sale over here for between £50-£100 in the UK! Great find and good job cleaning it up 👍

Nice work! I have an old equal end Camillus cattleman pattern whose bone looks quite similar to that. Very nice knife, mine also lacks the brass.

Thank you!! These knives are fun to collect as they have lots of history and there are lots of little variations to find from knife to knife.

Cool. I have one almost exactly like that, but with a smaller round emblem saying "USMC" (US Marine Corps i guess). And it has another blade instead of a cup opener. One Liner is broken and the metal flats are damaged on one side, as if a wielder smashed it against something hard. Just soaked it in WD40.

They are pretty cool knives... lots of little variations. How did the WD40 work?

I think you did a great job just cleaning without taking the knife apart and without using aggressive tools. Prestige items deserve to be left as much as possible as they originally were

Looks good. I haven't tried that exactly but I will. Depends on the knife. I've collected fish knives over the years. Any maker, almost always cheap at a flea market. Some of them I have have employed Dremel with various brush attachments.

Thanks for watching! Yes, I agree it totally depends on the condition of the knife and also the look you are going for. I like to start out with this lighter approach and go from there…
