Dearbhla and her mother Mona have brought in a treasured miniature of a traditional Irish dancing dress. This dress showcases a timeless lace collar and cuffs, initially made for Mona during her childhood dance training in the 1950s. Handed down through generations, the dress has also been worn by Dearbhla and her own children. After years of use, the delicate 70-year-old lace is deteriorating and unravelling. Textile conservator Rebecca Bissonnet faces the intricate challenge of restoring both the lace and the dress to their original beauty.
