I've never seen teak go so red like that. Was it a natural tone or some colour from the Scandinavian stuff? Or is Australian teak just really red?

It's actually a bit of a mystery... I thought the same as you, and I actually suspect it may be a Blackbean table (which is another common native wood used on MCM furniture here). I had a few different people look at the table in person and online and more people concluded it was Teak than other species so who knows!

The underside of teak furniture is often mahogany which is much more red.

I was looking it up and can’t find anything to explain the red?!?!

@@lindaoharris In person it does appear much more along the lines of teak's brownish/orange, but it still is undoubtedly a bit darker than normal. If it is indeed Teak, one wood specialist told me that it may have been very old heartwood, which would be darker/older than most teak veneer scene in MCM furniture. I still personally think it may be Blackbean though!

What a beautiful piece of furniture! Excellent work on blending the repair. I have a Teak cabinet, it has the exact same red tone, it's almost like it's the same teak. I appreciate your artistry and easy way.

You could mute it for that part. But the shop sounds are pretty loud, especially compared to the voiceover. I’m guessing it’ll be adjusted with experience 😊

@@pattiobrien5408 First time trying the voice over out. I wasn't too sure about the balance of it all, but you're right, next time ill tweak it a bit manually. This time I just put them in as is and hoped for the best 😅

Thank you! The grain really surprised me. I'm not sure if you could tell but at the start of the video when the old finish was on, you could basically see no grain at all!
