In this video I restore an old drawknife that I found in a rust bucket at a garage sale. I only payed 25 cents for it, and I am very happy that I was able to give it a new life. It looks as if it was handforged years ago and cut really well after I sharpened it.

I think you could possibly have the best workshop on Tube, especially your bench. I want mine to look that well use one day, the way they should look, not pristine like mine. I know there’s an anvil and plate on the back of an engineer's vice, but I didn’t know you can use the face as well. Another wonderful restoration which to me was perfectly done. I’ve also just looked at the price of drawknives, you saved yourself a bit of money there and in all probability got better quality too.

Thank you! I've had that's work bench for three years now and I love it. It was only $50 to make and is a work horse. I love restoring stuff and agreeing with you, buying things new nowadays is ridiculous and the stuff they make nowadays is terrible quality anyways.

Love the non-narrated restoration videos where only the machinery sounds are audible. Great job!

Great video I learned a lot. I think you need to cut up some old t-shirts for some new shop rags/towels! lol

Very nice! I just made wood jaws for my vice that wrap over the metal so I don’t slip and hit it! Nothing more frustrating than sharpening a draw knife or plane and then accidentally nicking the top of the jaws!

Nice work on the drawknife. If you pull on an angle, it’ll slice much easier. You’ll also use all the blade do you don’t have to sharpen too soon.😊
