Aren't the front panel and the movable louver easily removed so you can take them outside or to the garage to prepare and paint them much better and easier?

bigpardner of course they are

But then you would have to cover up the pipe and fans underneath = more work than necessary

@@dianebroderick9224 Diane, I think he/she meant that disassemble the cover (and leave the pipe/heatsink(?)) alone, and then go outside and paint, and then assemble it back. (sorry if I did not understand your reply properly but I think that's what he/she meant) (it is more work, but I believe then the paint won't get to the pipe/heatsink)

I recommend covering the heat elements or remove the covers and paint outdoods. It's recommended cleaning the elements once each year so would kill two birds with one stone.

How do you cover the heating element?

Why can't you take the cover apart and do it outside?

That’s what I did

What spray paint did you use on top of the primer?

Can these materials be used on an electric baseboard heater? The top of mine looks pretty nasty and I'd like to repaint it and maybe the front panel (which is easily removed.)

Mine as well

I’m redoing my home.,.my husband is a contractor so we r lucky however there’s r a couple things I wanna do myself. This is one of them. Would it be better to just paint the entire board/cover rather than sections?
