About three years ago a friend gave me a 1979 - 239 Mako. It was a center console like this except it had a 350 engine sitting under the console. He had gotten from his brother that had passed away. It had sit out in open and the engine department was flooded with rain water. It looked alot like this without an engine. After talking to several people my wife convinced me that it would just cost to much to restore and just later to find one that doesn't require as much or any work. Looking back I wish I would have taken the jump and moved forward.

Project boats are Definitely not the cheap or easy route in the long run but there is definitely reward in doing the work and it is nice only spending money a little here and there during the build. Did you ever end up getting a boat? 79 Mako would have actually been a great hull.

Bro, that thing needs a real restoration. Like down to the hull all knew everything. Look at all the holes everywhere!!!😮

I agree. It needs a ton of work. Did you watch the latest video? It's come a long way, and I took care of most of the holes. The main part of the hull left to work on is the gunnels.
