Looking to restore an old chrome lure without getting it re-chromed ? here's a simple and easy way to restore your lure and get the fish biting again !!

Btw I think it's the citric acid in the coke that's helping it...great for your insides too

I put a bit of autosol metal polish on my lures then get a microfiber cloth or clean rag and rub the lure and they come out mint.

Brasso or toothpaste works to get a little more of a polish out of things. I use both on my wood working tools

Interesting Andy. Did you soak the lure in the coke or dip the foil in and rub the lure?

Both mate ! Just wet foil works well on chrome on cars etc Coke helps remove grime and stuff aswell as the foil

would that method of cleaning be any good for metal slugs that have prints on them? or would it ruin it

Should be mate, the foil doesn’t destroy the lure or chrome bumpers as it’s a softer metal
