Resyncing the Yakuza 4 and 5 Dynamic Intros (So They're a Bit Like Kiwami 2)

Күн бұрынUnlike the last two, this kinda remakes the intros in a way so that the text looks different and I've created a bit of an artificial camera shake to make it more like Kiwami 2. Not like Yakuza 6 though because the intros in that game have the text on screen for 0.5 nanoseconds.
The only thing cooler than that Yakuza 4 final boss edit is joining the channel :O

This video is literally just Yakuza 4 and 5 as I have mostly avoided those two. There is one intro in Yakuza 3 but I like how the music kicks in when the lads land in the intro. The only game I haven't done now is Ishin but they went ham with the music syncing so I most likely will leave Ishin be. Unless it gets ported to PC which won't happen lol.

This one's a little different to the others as it's more obvious editing than the first two. If you're wondering how I did it, I just modded the game so that there was no text and the songs were muted so I could do them like the other intros. Lemme know if you enjoy this one still 'cause it's kinda changing the intros quite a fair bit instead of just slightly :)

@@Kessekom You could do one big bossfight, with like 8 phases - each phase happening after you deplete half of boss's HP and then you switch to another protag (with some action sequences and juicy transitions)

Speeding up the transitions would work well, too. It didn't bother me during my playthrough, but the way the screen freezes, fades to black, cuts the music completely, then starts up again on the next character was kind of wack. Breaks the pacing quite noticeably.

If they made a Kiryu VS Majima fight oh that would happen. Also the Song changes when you change the characters but the song is still similar. Maybe a cool Receive you. So it starts as Kiryu and it's probably Majima's song then at a certain Health bar there's a QTE and it'll change to Majima then Kiryu's song, and then at a certain health another QTE and maybe there you can choose to stay as Majima or Switch to Kiryu. And pretty much end the fight with either one. I think either way both'll be hurt but one'll be less hurt than the other.

The music sync on the Daigo fight in 5 is probably my absolute favorite. Just... way the riff enters in right as the blows are exchanged is literally perfect. So glad the game audio is there this time, too.

Yeah I agree, especially given the awesome treatment of Majima's theme in 4. But I suppose in the game files the song is called vs_player so they just used it as the "song that plays when you fight other protagonists"

Man the camera shake and text the way you did it was awesome. I always took the Kiwami 2 intros for granted because I played the games chronologically, starting with 0, then Kiwami and Kiwami 2, so seeing 3, 4 and 5 was a little jarring sometimes. This is amazing though, great video, and I laughed so hard at hearing Majima's Get to the Top at the beginning with Minami's intro hahaha.

These were all minor changes that turned them into even better intros. I applaud. If I would add one change, I'd make it so that, since Tanimura's sequence is so long, as he punches or takes down the mook cops, you gradually go through the others's action sequences, finishing with the final jump and the name smashes for each boss at the end.

I always wanted the final battle to smoothly transition between the fights so that they're all taking place at the exact same time. I think your idea is very good though and would probably maybe potentially but maybe not make that fight somewhat bearable haha

I honestly think it should've been a cut For example, Akiyama throws Arai to that roof arena and you see Tanimura throwing a cop off himself, Kiryu jumps on that rooftop part and as Daigo follows you see Tanimura doing the jump And the fights start with Akiyama's, Saejima's, Kiryu's and Tanimura's intros mixed

I Imagine that for the Yakuza 4 final bosses all 4 bosses go off at once and every time they reach a halfway point, it leads to a QTE which then switches characters afterwards.

Very nice! It's a great improvemnt from your other two videos, with better sync in the most necessary places. Honestly, the PS3 games deserved the most editing with their intro sync, glad to see them enhanced with more flair.
