James Kalm has a self-appointed mission of keeping an eye on the visual cultural happenings in New York City, particularly the Downtown end of the scene. “Retinal Hysteria” curated by Robert Storr is a two-gallery extravaganza of a show featuring some of the most eye banging works produced in the past fifty years. Storr has picked works from over forty artists that present a broad geographic and chronological spectrum, ranging from underground comix artists to Hairy Who, to the California eccentrics, and more.
