Dreamcatcher's Performance Director is Huang Sooyeon, the girl with the red hair in the dance practice video. She and her team have been creating Dreamcatcher's choreo since 2019. She also has her own dance group who have danced backup for other Kpop Idols, most recently Mamamoo's Chica Malo. Dreamcatcher can't afford to take their dancers with them when they tour outside of Korea so if you want to see them dance alone that's the place to go. Sooyeon took part in Produce 101 but was eliminated. I think she decided then to concentrate on choreography and forget about becoming an Idol. She has her own fanbase which includes me.

AAAAA! You're back! So happy to see you. ^_^ Actually, you're right on time because Dreamcatcher just announced that their next comeback is in May, so hopefully we'll get to watch that together. Other than Dreamcatcher, when it comes to recent choreographies that I have really enjoyed I'd definitely recommend Purple Kiss's recent "Sweet Juice" and "Intro: Save Me". Also XG's recent "Shooting Star" and "Left Right".

In k-pop 4th Gen. i didn't see yet a group as high lvl choreographies and dances as GFRIEND and Dreamcatcher. Even Twice, just start being at that high lvl choreographies with their 2 latest releases. Even in Third Gen k-pop group, not a lot of girl groups can be compared to GFRIEND and Dreamcatcher in high level dancing and choreographies. Well, that is my personal opinion at least.

Tofu welcome back, let me introduce u to MY girls Billlie who is 4th gen from mystic story and they are as good as dreamcatcher is at dancing. They were trained by the amazing choreographers at 1 million dance studio and so far they have a reputation for doing sm boy group dance cover. My girls billlie has covered Nct 127’s Ae-yo, kick it, and shinee’s dont call me. Also their last two title tracks has some hard choreography. I highly recommend them to u, im a predebut stan for billlie, followed them through their trainee days and waited 2 whole years for them to debut. They are as good as dreamcatcher and as talented as they are at singing. They have a very interesting and mysterious lore that goes along with their concept. Their choreography is very high energy, and has lots of sharp movements, and lots of level changes.

that "linear" thing actually already exist by dreamcatcher from 2017 in Sleep-walking (dance break 1 center JiU, dance break 2 center SuA) and implemented again in Scream (first verse SuA). since the first time I watch Vision MV I was like "wait I think this move is familiar"

Welcome back! 😊 "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It could be about North Korea as well after all. It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release! The choreographer is in the team here, she is the one with the copper-red hair.

It sounds like you haven't really followed K-Pop much in the last year or so, so I'm gonna have to recommend you check out Billlie, who debuted a bit over a year ago in November '21. With their vocal chops (and their _harmonies!),_ musical versatility, dance skills and general personality and entertainingness (that's a word now, shut up), they really remind me a lot of Dreamcatcher, which is probably why I fell so hard for them. They just had a comeback this week with Eunoia (and yes, we have MVs and dance practices ready to go), and each of their releases so far (starting with their debut Ring X Ring) has been _completely_ different from the last; I think you'll have a lot of fun discovering them.
