WTF DOES “OG KPOP STAN" EVEN MEAN?!
Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this KZfaq name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Nobody: Gfriend disbanded Me: With for Thina to her reaction video for about 4 hours. And she doesn't liked my comments in all of her reaction video. Yey Gfriend! 😘🥰😍! Am I late? Proud Buddy since their Debut. This is my 2nd favorite Gfriend song to dance in all time same as Glass Beads. That's their original (Music) color and genre that make me Stan and fall in love to them. Innocent sweet but dramatic music and visuals. Until Source Music was bought by BigHit, their overall (music, visual, genre) became mature and comeback in Apple. Another thing is they frequently changes their official Logo every comeback. Please react to my favorite MV of them Love Whisper. Please please please 🙏🙏🙏. What Gfriend did to me is give me high asf expectations for group dances. Everytime I watch a dance practice or performance of other groups, I always pay attention to details and synchronization. I easily feel unsatisfied if the dance isn't fluid & synchronized skwkhss. I've become critical over dances, thanks to Godfriend. The vocals too, btw! Gfriend already served since debut, showcasing powerful dances with powerful vocals. Kpop groups are usually either a vocal or dance group, but Gfriend falls under both since rookie days, and that's a hugeeee flex. They've come so far, I'm proud of them. Gonna miss them sm.

First comeback and they already captured the Korean gp. MGT was so successful that trainees use this for auditions, tv programs use this as challenge, idols cover this during concerts & for fun, the gp knows this, regardless of age. Gfriend's songs are for everyone, especially MGT. MGT is a legendary song. I bet even if this song reaches 10 yrs old, people would still recognize this. I love MGT and all of their songs so much. Ahhh missing Gfriend rn 🥺

this was way back when their company was dirt poor and they were about to disband because their debut did not sell that well, but after a fancam of them performing this (and falling on the floor several times)on a slippery wet stage became viral, this song became one of the largest hits and longest-charting songs in korea and gfriend became a household name in kpop, both music and dance it is a shame they disbanded, but their impact on the industry is undeniable, thank you for this reaction for bringing us back to those good old times i recommend you check out time for the moon night or sunrise next, both legendary songs that no other groups but gfriend could pull off

Funny that you talked about power in GFRIEND choreography because GFRIEND concept and genre at their debuts was called "Power innocence" like the fusion of cute and pure concept with rock guitar and strings and hardcore synchronized choreography. As i commented in previous videos i'm a old k-pop fan since 2003, but since i became a fan of GFRIEND since the Me Gusta tu era they became my favorite number one k-pop group. Since the disbandment of GFRIEND, i miss them everyday and still not over that GFRIEND is no more. I'm glad that you continue to explore the world of GFRIEND because they are so talented young ladies and deserve all the love in the world. GFRIEND is maybe gone, but what they left us has make them LEGENDS and their legacy will be there forever. Also, i know that even with their future individual activities they will change k-pop for the best and forever.

Great to hear your commentary for Gfriend's "Me Gustas Tu" choreo. What you said is the perfect way to underscore Gfriend's "Powerful Innocence" era, and in my view, best represented by this choreo. Also love your use of "a school of fish" to describe the Gfriend's traveling as a group. Most have simply cast their execution under synchronization (which is accurate) but what you said fit so beautifully. It's their movement in unison. That's is what captured me when I first saw them in this MV. It helped me recall the initial excitement I felt when I came into contact with this wonderful group. Thanks for the reaction.

@@4yeojachingu446 , No! MV was uploaded on July 23, 2015, and another MV wasn't exist. Source Music had a hard time finding the money to shoot this MV and was at the stage of bankruptcy at that moment. The situation with popularity was corrected by a viral video in which the girls fell on a wet stage 6 times during the performance of this song, which gained about two million views in 1 day.

Everytime i see a reactor do a video about Gfriend older stuffs, i feel so happy and a little upset at the same time. Gfriend when they first appeared to the industry, they're like a fresh breeze compare to all the girl group with girl crush concept but also because of that difference they didn't have much support. Whenever i see a first reaction to Gfriend video i ALWAYS hear the sentence "cutesy concept is not my thing" like i know but you're missing out on EVERYTHING ELSE about them just because of the visual alone. And when there're finally many people get to know about them it's already too late. Don't know if anyone has told you before, but the leap frog slide move at the beginning was them just messing around and having fun and then (I guess choreographer? liked it) added it to the dance

So glad you're not going to let their disbandment stop you from checking out their older content, I started my channel with them & it was the best decision I ever made, they will always and forever be one of my favorite groups. The vast music styles they offered, their amazing & complex choreos. I just adore them so much, excited to watch your journey down the GFRIEND hole

When I first got into Gfriend, a little late maybe two years, this was one of the first dances I willingly learned and it is I think considered their hardest, they just make their dances look so fun that you can't resist but try it for yourself.

That's the reason I be a buddy. With only their dance practice. Not with their fancy outfit or edit or what, they mesmerized me just by their dance practice. Back then,I think I watched like 100x a day. Their smooth dance, I can tell they do practice a lot. I can see their hardwork in that video

If you didn't remember who they i'll tell you on dance practice SinB : Who used shirt and shorts black Eunha : Who used Black shirt and shorts denim Yuju : Who used top yellow and shorts black , have bangs (who you say power full and who split on who on early song) Sowon : Who used white shirt and shorts denim Umji : Who used black shirt and white shorts (who on early song looking down when yuju split pass her) Yerin : Who used plain white shirt and black shorts, hair in two ponytails and have bangs (who on early song jump over umji when yuju split pass umji)

Gfriend are the starter of new gen GG become more powerful, energetic and synchronized on their dance. I’m an OG Kpop fans too and Gfriend is a new group who’s debut with powerful innocent images by that time when 2nd gen on the peak with sexy concept. Their debut catch my attention because of they bring back that innocent 2nd gen GG vibe with their own powerful choreo. And here I am now being a Buddy for life even the group are dword now. Fact: This MV is the cheapest MV GFRIEND has done because their was in the verge of disbandment and money has been tightas the CEO sold his house for their debut. The place was even shot in the resthpuse of one of the member's grandparents. This song was literally a miracle.

Love your "school of fish" analogy. It is so apropos. Something that the Goddesses of Dance would do automatically. But in reality we know about all the hours of practice they put into their performances physically and vocally. Too bad you can't do a review of Gfriend's tribute to g.o.d. at Immortal Songs 2 because of copyright reasons. But check it out anyways, another great iconic Gfriend performance. Ironically one soon-to-be legendary group honoring another legendary group.
