WTF DOES “OG KPOP STAN" EVEN MEAN?!
Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this KZfaq name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Love cherry motion is the first Lore Heavy MV. There’s a lot of details that you may miss (like the way that Choerry falls into the bed matching the scene where she wakes up or the way that Haseul, Yeojin and Choerry who are all in the first part make up green, orange and purple, the secondary colors) There’s so much thought put into it that I could go on, but it really shows how dedicated the team was to this predebut project!

The fact that Yeojin wears red, Haseul wears blue and they need Hyunjin (yellow) to make their own colour, Jinsoul putting the cherry there similar to the cans in Egoist, there are 12 mirrors....

As you said red and blue make purple that's why there are a lot of theories that Hyunjin (yellow) was originally a member of OEC (the 3 primary colors) and that's why choerry and Hyunjin are often mirrored or do similar poses in the teasers as their colors are complementary!!

Mmm yes and no. Yes because of why note but no because in the mirror the other " Choerry" is Hyunjin, her creator who helped her to wake up her powers with that cherry. In Love Cherry Motion we have "Hyunjin" with the girls in the bed playing but Choerry was looking up for yellow outfits so thats Hyunjin. Hyunjin created Choerry and use the cherry who helped her by using the mirror because Hyunjin cant enter to that world or she doesn't want to

Our fruit bat Choerry, who can travel between the loona worlds, from the regular world to the upside-down world (or the other side of the mobius-strip, don't want to confuse you more than i'm already doing lol). That's also why Choerry appears upside down in the Why Not mv. She is also the only one who has a representative fruit aside of yyxy members, the cherry, that's why she is super special in the loona lore as well and she has some important roles inside yyxy mv's you are about to check soon soon :D Also, Kimlip and Jinsoul (OEC members) appear only when Choerry travels to the upsidedown world, while Haseul and Yeojin (from our world to name it some way) only appear at the beginning.

and she is like a 2 nd version of Hyunjin. Also in this video "Love Cherry Motion" we can see "Hyunjin" and Choerry. Hyunjin is in the world with the other girls in the bed, playing, she is also checking yellow outfits (hyunjin colors) Hyunjin created Choerry but she cant use her powers so she (Hyunjin) gived her a cherry using the mirror (because Hyunjin can't go to that world) and so on, she can now use her powers and thats why we can see her moon at the sky with Kim Lip and Jinsoul :D

That was my FAVORITE REACTION ever! Choerry is my favorite and Love Cherry Motion is my favorite kpop song. I love watching people react to it and I just absolutely loved your reaction. I kept replaying parts because I was so excited to see your reaction to different parts of the song. So happy you enjoyed it. I can't wait to see more of your reactions. Not to be _that_ guy, but... 51db is actually a reference to 5.1 Dolby surround sound. As Thina said, almost everything about the video is a throwback to mid to late 90's music videos. The washed out colors, the video quality, even the frame rate was meant to mimic music videos of that era. During that time when MTV first launched it was the only channel that offered 5.1 Dolby, hence 51db.

If you have a solid source that specifically states that it does refer to decibels, I'd like to see it. I'm not too proud to admit that I'm wrong, but I'd like to see proof of the error before I do. :)

Orbits' favorite thing is watching people's reaction to the first change up in this song, and you didn't disappoint. This song is absolutely legendary. Love cherry motion is probably their best music video in terms of showing the group's lore. i think the next reaction to old loona releases is going to be girl front so you have to watch their reveal of odd eye circle subunit before girl front mv, also they have two more mvs, sweet crazy love and loonatic (and on youtube they have a amazing dance video, not oficial nfortunately, for their music uncover and was choreographed by themselves so even if you don't make a reaction video for uncover, it's definitely worth to watch). all of them helps you to make theories about their subunit and what they mean and remember that their subunit it's the one that have powers so in girl front they show what power each has

A few things: - 7:57 - GOTCHA!!! LMAO (You're not the first one though so you're good lol) - Choerry isn't pronounced any special; you can pronounce her name just like the fruit lol - Her animal is a fruit bat, hence why she's upside-down in some shots. It's also very prominent in the Why Not MV. - More of a side note than anything else, but predebut Choerry reminded me so much of SISTAR's Bora. I could have mistaken her as a family member lol (Soeun from Weeekly is also very similar in looks to both) It's nice to see your reaction to LCM. And the beat drop got EVERYBODY LOL; there's even a reaction compilation vid on YT for that specific part.

I don't know if you know this or not but there are choreography versions to some of the Loona songs such as Choerry, Kim Lips and Yves solo songs so you might want to check that out.

Loona's videos are always intentional because they are putting their "Loonaverse (loir)" into play. If you ever want to get into the loir, a lot of the videos will make more sense :) I have always been a big fan of Choerry's solo song, "Love Cherry Motion"! Choerry the drop master. OEC is one of the reasons why so many orbits have a hard time picking a bias.

as a korean I feel that you can just pronounce her name as 'cherry', which is actually pretty close to how it is in korean. Any non-native speaker who tries to pronounce her name 100% accurately is going to have a tough time, but just pronouncing her name as 'cherry' is actually like 98% accurate, which I feel is way more accurate than whatever I'm hearing many many other non-korean speakers call her.

One of the biggest thrills you get as an orbit is seeing fellow orbits fangirl/boy over the girls of Loona. So I got a big kick out of watching Thina call out all the girl's name. Thanks, Thina! BTW: Popping the cherry in Choery's video means discovering the world of Odd Eye Circle. So her whole demeanor changes to blend with the girl crush vibes of Kim Lip and Jinsoul. ☺️
