@@kosarkosar7683I don’t think the US would want to send any ships into the Black Sea, except perhaps as escorts for the grain barges moving through. But more importantly, the russians cannot move any ships NOT registered to the Black Sea Fleet to enter. This means that the russian ships that are left of the Black Sea Fleet will just be picked off, one by one… and cannot get help from the Baltic Fleet, the Arctic Fleet, or whichever other fleets they have. Their Black Sea Fleet will eventually be destroyed at this rate, and they cannot build them fast enough in Crimea. And of course, Ukraine can just pick off the ship(s) being built just like they did that submarine - the first time in history that a submarine has been destroyed by a cruise missile… 😂

Not sure if this would be wildly applicable though. Russia does have a habit of using decades or even half a century old military hardware. I can't imagine this is as easy to pull off against something like a modern navy. Especially in more open seas.

The “Montreux Convention allows Turkey to restrict the movement of Russian warships passing through the Bosporus and Dardanelles Straits in Turkey during war. Russian warships are allowed to leave the Black Sea through the straits, but can NOT re-enter into the Black Sea. Putin has no other way to bring a Russian warship into the Black Sea except to build in the Black Sea. And the only major shipbuilding facility is in Crimea. He is steadily losing his warships in the Black Sea.

Actually, he said they were not much bigger than commercially available jetskis. He later said they might be like a Seadoo or something similar. Except for the explosives, these drones are built from commonly available tech. That makes them cheaper, and easy to source.

They are a little larger than jet-skies and are not commercial though they may be using commercial boat hulls as the base to manufacture the drones.

Probably more accurate to say, they are small vehicles, mostly made from commercially available parts, but built for military purposes. Kinda like building an armoured vehicle out of tractor parts and welding equipment.

In addition: 1) it takes out Russian missile-firing ships so they can't attack Ukrainian cities. 2) It reduces Russian anti-air capability. 3) It disables Russia's ability to land troops from the ocean and threaten Ukraine, or invade new countries.

Amazing. Even against a apparently completely defeated enemy, it still took Russia two years to finally take the small town of Andviika. If the defenders are so unequipped and un trained, why can’t Russia take a town thats only about 50 sq km in size, without taking 15,000 casualties and hundreds of armored and support vehicle losses? Ukraine is hundreds of thousands of sq km large. At the rate Russia is moving forward, they will be in Kyiv by 2100.

Sky news reported that ship had multiple attacks and on hit the ammo delivery. The ship flipped over and all 8 sailors died. It had the ability to transport 12 tanks, and tons of supplies, 81 years old to this day.
