We have been retired four full years and here is some advice from us retirees.
1) Retire sooner rather than later
2) Don’t get sucked in or guilted into doing things you don’t enjoy. Learn to say ‘no’.
3) Stay active while you can. With age we lose some of our physical abilities.
4) Don’t be afraid to learn new things. We need to be like-long learners.

🎶🎂🍾🥂 Happy Birthday Teri. Indeed, I too know of enough people who never got to enjoy a carefree self chosen retirement. We have a lovely time, are active in many ways and take time to "smell the roses" as the saying goes. Learning new things is also a great way to keep up with the ver changing world. New hobbies to learn. Time for crossword puzzles, lazy starts and flexibility in your daily planning. I wish everyone an as happy and enjoyable retirement as the one I'm enjoying. 👌🇳🇿🥝🙋‍♀ Have a great week. 😎

Thanks Anita! We sure are blessed! We may not have as much money as others but we are blessed in many other ways and are so thankful for the life we have! Have a wonderful week!

We feel the same way that's why we retired early. Had we waited to have a certain amount of money we would still be working. We are enjoying life and till doing the same things we did while working, only stress free from work. If God bless you to retired early I say do it!!

It’s something many don’t get the privilege to do. We may not have as much money as many people but we are blessed in many other ways and we are enjoying life. That’s the important thing. So glad you guys are enjoying retirement life as well!

Glad I found your channel. 10 months to go I’ll be 65 and I’m out. As you mention, I know many who never lived past 65 😢

Oh my, saying "No!" I can't even begin to count the number of times I've had to say it, and hearing in return, "But you've got nothing to do, you're retired!" lol

Happy Birthday, Terri! It's great that you enjoyed it with family! Now where's my darn phone? 🤣🤣Time does pass by quickly when you retire. Great advice. Retiring as early as you are able to would be my recommendation also. It allows more time for travel! But, we stay off the roller coasters! I also get up early and Kathy sleeps in and I enjoy that time. Enjoyed hearing about your "golden years."

It’s so crazy! We used to absolutely LOVE them….the faster the better……just can’t do it anymore.

Happy belated birthday! What did you do about health insurance until you qualified for Medicare? Asking for my sister who still has a few years to go.

I went online on the marketplace and chose Ambetter. It seemed like the best coverage for me so I was on that for two years until I qualified for Medicare.
