Money Matters is a series where I have conversations with normal people such as you and I, on your personal finance issues. It is important to note that I am NOT a financial expert, I am NOT SEBI registered, and I am NOT qualified to give financial advice. Everything that I say in these videos is purely through my own experiences. - So these videos do not offer any stock tips, or specific mutual fund recommendations or get-rich-quick schemes. - I am not selling any product or service through these videos. - None of the brands that I mention in these videos have paid me to mention them, unless I explicitly say so (and I will say if the video is sponsored). This also means that my advice may not always be the right advice. So incase I make a mistake, the best way to correct me will be to share your point of view in the comments, so that everyone can benefit from it. I am not perfect, nor claiming to be either and would love to learn and grow. The idea is simply to help people with their finance journey and through their story try to help others who may have a similar story. one major expense which people see in their 30s or 40s especially in India is expenses on parents' health. Cancer is rising in India and the treatment and regular care expenses are sky high despite having health insurance. Pls account for this -- a note to all youngsters esp in their 20s. I recently lost my dad to this dreaded disease and apart from emotional turmoil & grief, financial drain was also very high. Stay safe and enjoyy life !!

People who are able to retire early are lucky . I have 15 months till 65 and need to look at calling it quits, my only fear is running out of funds much later, thus keen on investing. What could be the safest possible ways to invest for cashflow, in order to afford lifestyle after retirement?

I have a better financial solution: 1. Get a mediclaim which seems to be missed out (annually 10~16k) 2. Get a mediclaim for your parents as well 3. Buy a pre owned car worth ₹6 lakhs (+ keep maintenance contingent fund 1 lakh) 4. You'll save net 5 lakhs on car and effectively on EMI. Revised EMI would be 14k instead of 26k. 5. Invest surplus funds in MFs or Swing trading stocks Watched video till 22nd minutes and realised this, so sharing. Best wishes 🎉 you're already doing great with disciplined budgeting. Very wise..

The thing is pre owned car market is not good in Indian market. Because not many people sell their car for just because it is 2-3 years old. We sell only if it in accidents or something severe. And in such cases majority of them have main frame damaged hidden by mechanics. And recently there's so many changes in car science.

@@vividlearner7427 Yes but we need to keep in mind that at certain point in times he will have to take out huge chunks from his retirement portfolio for these large expenses. It will have a significant inpact on his corpus and future returns and growth of his portfolio. 17% return isn’t very difficult if you manage your own portfolio For sure he is smart enough to achieve something around the same. Expenses post marriage - guy does not spend lavishly into pubs or drinking. His basic spending even as a couple won’t increase by more than 10k a month, moreover, his salary will continue to grow over 10% for next few years. I don’t see any issues here

💡Everyone is dreaming of retiring at 40 but as someone who is very close to that mark & earning well as a couple(3L+/month) , let me tell you its not realistic for salaried class to retire even at 50, unless ur born rich or supersmart..by 40 your actual responsibilities just starts.. you kids education(costs a bomb), parents needs, home loan emis, ever increasing day-to-day expenses are just a few to mention..Forget about this 40 year mark & prepare for long hustle..Life is not excel sheet & certainly not that predictable

@SulekhaDhar-ld1hd boss even after 20 years 8 crores will value more than 3.5 crores. As the economy matures inflation rate drops because base increases. 4% average inflation over 20 years is reasonable. Even today in America, 8 crore means a millionear and there are only 2 crore millionaire in USA, that means top 5% of the country. India after 20 years will still be cheaper than what USA is today.

Yes! thats no joke, because most people will start but give up too easily and withdraw, shadi mehengi kerni hai bhai aoan nai. I'd say deterministically by there 5th year, by that time most people will mess up there portfolio. Portiflios would be overdiversified with overlap going more than 30%.

There are few practical points from my perspective- 1. He is from NIT, a premier institute of India earning more than a lakh at the age of 25. So his wife would also be a working woman earning at least half of his income. If luck strikes, she will be also from premier institute earning more than a lakh. So income will double. 2. He is from UP where dowry exists, so he going to get money in marriage most probably. 3. He can easily switch from one company to another with 20-30% hike and so will his wife. 4. By the time he is 45 , he would mostly probably be a VP/President/CXO of some company with good salary . 5. Instead of car, he should opt for higher education that will further his earning potential exponentially. 6. If is he stupid and wants to make his life difficult then he would marry a housewife.

People often forget that after marriage, consumption/expenses increases by 10 folds. And if you have a child then just double your expenses by double. My simple experience is that just don’t even count next 5 years once you get married for any investments.

I did one math - the assumption which is done that your current salary of 1.3L and investment 40k will increase every year by 10%. Do you want to know at the end of 17th year your salary should be 6.5 L and your investments would be 2L. Which according to me seem to be impractical. Atleast it is not an average case scenario .

Few points came to my mind 1. Once he buys apartment + car his savings will be all gone ..so current savings at 25 age does not have much meaning 2. Marriage and family expenses will sky rocket 3. No further plans of further studies of MBA / PG so just a matter of 5 -7 yrs his salary will stagnate

If I hv 100rs now then at 2040 with an inflation of 7% then it would become 200-210rs. So at the age of 45( ie at 2040) if he is having 7cr then at present its value is around 3-3.5 cr at 7% inflation. For the next 15-20years if we get a stable govt then it can be achieved. The current central govt is capable of maintaining inflation.

What about inflation... Car fuel, maintainance monthly expense... post marriage expenses... long term taxes.... I am thinking if he plans to buy house at the age of 40, the house prices will be more than or equal to his corpus investment -- then what about society maintainance, home expense, travel wishes etc? People who are new to investments think that this is a masterpiece. No disrespect to Ankur, but this video is a joke: 1. He plans to retire in 15 years. As he likes to live a lavish life after retirement, he might need some 25crores which might be equivalent to some 7 crores today inflation adjusted. 2. You might have 2 kids. Education expenses are already sky high .. how can you not account for that 3. The calculations that you are doing has so many minute day to day details. No one will be able to follow this due to uncertainty of life / lifestyle. You can never plan your day to day life for that long 4. Markets might go upside down. We may have a lost decade. All this is fun to hear, but best is to just keep investing and worry about retirement when you are close to retirement (whatever might be the retirement age)

Does anyone here thought of giving some amount to charity like education of poor child, helping really needy patient, helping family members in their financial need ? Everyone are running behind money !! If you are on death bed, People whom you helped will surely remember your good deeds rather than how much property you own !! I absolutely feel some % of your salary must be kept aside for these kind of charity work which actually gives you immense satisfaction & also it will create huge happiness & down to earth nature in yourself. If anyone doing give a thumps up🙂

Every person should fill their own cup first.. he sends good amount to his family. Its all about the survival of the fittest.😊 This is the most shittiest comment , do you know some poor pepple are by their choice, they dont want to study or improve their skillset, they are in the complain zone? A middle class person according can contribute 1-3k to charity monthly if they really want..you are no one to give him free ka gyan..uski jb shraddha hogi wo dega.. U pls go and do charity..feel like you are wealthy pls donate all your wealth😂😂

If you don't cultivate habit of giving then even though your cup overflow you won't feel like donating🙂 This is where family values which are taught at home comes up. Now so called Gen Z are dwelling in different world & lost family values unfortunately. You don't need hefty wealth to donate or help someone. It all depends on how you want take life & keep the value system alive in yourself !! I am not here to give gyan but only few understand it & adopt in life.
