@Spork Spatula I think people have always done that, to show how "we've come a long way" since that other decade. They'd say things like "That was the 70s, these are the 80's!" and "That was the 60's, these are the 70's!" and so on. I think it only stopped in 2000 because there was no longer a catchy way of saying it.

Certain personality types attract people to certain parties and movements. Look at the typical hateful, class yearning, excluding, controlling, gun-fetish, yelling, bogarding, brash, greedy, and bullying personality types huddled in one community....and it all just makes sense.
