Jeff! You could tell he still had a passion for games here.

It's the prettiest simulation of driving on ice that I've ever seen. Seriously, I don't see how this is arcade at all when the entire game is like driving on a giant oil slick. Just barely touch the stick and the car goes into a spin. You can't even drive straight down the track without the car drifting all over the place.

If someone could just hack the car physics to tweak the car road grip up a bit generally, this could be an extremely fun game. I play this, it looks fantastic and runs so smooth and I really want to love it but the slippery handling is just so frustrating.

Flawed but fascinating. Once you understand what the driving physics expect from you, it’s really fun (but also really easy).

So in both versions of the game, does it have the same amount of cars? I want to buy this game but I'm looking for the one with the most cars and most options to play with ( if it so happens that one version has more then the other ). so please anyone that knows tell me, thanks. Ps: I already know the U.S version is slightly better when it comes to the driving handling side of things.

Just played this game on pcsx2 today, the graphic looks so stylist but the car physics is pretty bad. I like how you can re-create Initial D style downhill battle with the same cars from the anime series.

Jon Irenicus The Japanese version is a lot different. The mechanics of it is more towards grip driving. The US version got the drift/power sliding mechanic physics

The mechanics are good they were just too soon. Its the same that 2012 nfs most wanted brought up later on or Tokyo xtreme drift 2 brought up where you just brake and it does the rest.
