I followed your step with pen tool and the selection tool but I can't seem to increase the height of my rectangle at 1:27.

i love that there for one is a illustrator tutorial with voice instead of just music. But for a beginner who doesnt have half the stuff on screen you have and has no idea where to find it i didnt make it past 00:02:06 and that took me twenty minutes of rewatches to just get there. Good quality but for someone trying to learn the program incomprehensible

you should base your price range hourly. set yourself a price that you are comfortable with doing hourly. if you are slower and not that familiar with programs and design process then price yourself below 20$ an hour. if you have experience and know how to work programs and can deliver good quality work and are fast at the digital work then price yourself around 20 or more an hour. usually there are 3 variations of the logo (if they are asking for a complex and or detailed logo otherwise if its a more simple logo you can do up to 4 or 5 variations, if they ask for more variations remind them that it will add onto the time it will take to finish the project. if they are not happy with anything ideas you show then, sit down with them to do some logo research and find out what they like and dont like in similar logos/ styles and colors to get a clearer closer picture of what they're looking for), your client would pick one or two they like more and then you work on that, refining it and tweaking it and shaping it and showing different fonts on it till they are satisfied. For finished/ finalized logo work usually a client should be given a colored version if they want colors on it for their brand identity, a black and white version for paperwork/ shipping boxes print if they dont want to pay extra for colors in those materials, and sometimes a gray and white/ gray and black version if they print on black or white materials. So based on your skills and with what you should be presenting to your client is how you should price yourself with logo work. You should add some mockups to show what the logo would look like on printed materials, signage, etc. to give the client an idea what the logo would look like being used in the business world when presenting their final/ close to being final official logo.
