In this edition of Retro Rides, we delve into the Ford Falcon (XA), a full-size vehicle manufactured by Ford Australia between 1972 and 1973. This model marked the inception of the third generation Falcon and encompassed the Ford Fairmont (XA) as well-an upscale variant. Additionally, the XA platform served as the foundation for the Australian Ford Landau.

My friend bought a xc hard top for $4000 in 1990 , 4 speed nice car , probably worth $90 000 now

I’m in New Zealand and about 27 years ago I looked at an ok conditioned XA coupe that was parked on the side of the road out in the country forsale for 6k . Around the same time my father moved to a farm out country and decided our family car was no good on the land . So he traded our 73 vj charger in for a BJ 40 Land Cruiser and the dealer gave him 3k for the charger . If only I knew what was going to happen in the future . In the past I’ve sold a 34 Chevy pickup and a 64 Fairlane and regretted both . Now I have a half built 60 pontiac and a chev Silverado pickup and I think I’m best to keep both now before I have anymore regrets .

Had one, put up for sale around 1982 for $1600 at trading post, had offers below than sold it for $1400.

@@MetalMania3DTV-TAS-AUS In My Days back in the late 70's and perhaps Early 80's when the Cops had the XC 351GT 2 Doors (Autos) and they would sell at Pickles Auction for around $3800 to $4200 . So many people thought the Cops had expired the cars life....wouldnt you like one now ?

@@tilkanash You are Correct, XC became lot more sought after as people loved the front end, bonnet. XA was discarded as ugly and old fashion. I would still go for XA
