#thebestschooldinners In this video we recreate one of the best school dinner puddings, the chocolate Sponge and chocolate Custard. This was a favorite pudding in the 1970's and 1980's at schools all over the UK. Give it a go. It's simple to make.

I remember the good old school days and the food the school dinner ladies served, it was fab, this sponge cake is gorgeous and the chocolate concrete with pink custard, thanks both for sharing.

This was my favourite dessert at school in the 90’s! I was telling my kids about how good it tasted and that obviously led to a quick KZfaq search and here I am 😅 this and the cheese flan two of my fond childhood school dinners memories 😊

I grew up in Brighton, and went to an all girls school.. this was my favourite school lunch dessert.. now I live far away and run my own cafe Patisserie and have been searching for the custard recipe so I can recreate the memories of school lunch desserts.. thank you so much! Will definitely give it a try!! :D

My favourite school pudding. Manchester Tart, Chocolate Concrete, Gypsy Tart etc. Kids today have no idea what they're missing.

I have to say, out of all the channels I watch on KZfaq, this is the best one. You and Sharron are priceless. You have me laughing out loud. The cake looks amazing. Betcha tastes awesome. I need an Eccles Cake now to satisfy my hunger for cake now that I saw this. And 20 minutes, you could always come to YT and watch an old Hogan's Heroes.

They used to have a dusting of white powder on the top of the chocolate pudding if I remember rightly.

I made this pudding today its lovely exactly how i rem it ..i used stork margarine some recipes use oil i dont like the texture using oil your recipe has a nice close texture nice chocolaty taste perfect i have tried loads of fancy methods but the old ways are the best thank you glad i found your channel xxxlove jean merry xmas

You have more patience than me. Her unrelenting complaining and disapproving looks coupled with snide put downs would see her going to live elsewhere until a date with a judge. I admire the way you handle it mate but I couldn't do it. She did not say one single pleasant thing about you. I know so many women are like that. It's called, misandry.
