I'm starting a petition to revoke that performer's actors guild membership. Narration is all important in film noir, and this wouldn't even be good enough for that Steve Martin parody Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Thankfully we've got Chicken Police Into the Hive coming, so I'll wait for that to get a hardboiled fiction fix.

I love the game. The only thing I didn't like is that Simon game sequence whenever you obtain a mask. I would have been cool they simplify it. Overall wonderful game. Can't wait for is 3rd game 🙏🤞

Voice overs are AI generated, as you'd expect nowadays in that gaming sector. Give it time and you'll get Warren Beatty - some day.

Oof. This is the kind of game that normally I would really be all excited about - I love puzzles, I don't love combat, and I love story. But in every piece of footage I've seen the voice acting is just off-puttingly bad, in a way that makes me think it's actually the developer voicing the protagonist; you'd think if a developer hired someone else who turned in a performance like that they'd immediately think "crap, now we have to re-do it all with another actor." And the delivery isn't helped by what seems like gratingly bad writing; every attempt at humor or charm just seems to faceplant.

I actually think a lot of the script would've been pretty good with the right voice actors. I'm guessing from the names on the opening credits it's an all-Israeli production, so I think that probably explains why the accents are weird. Even with most of the more convincing US-sounding ones there are telltale hints. Loved the game, apart from that. Although I had an annoying bug at the very last puzzle at the end of the game so that the whole puzzle thing was just entirely black, making it REALLY hard to do. And then when I finally did it anyway... it instantly crashed. So I started again from that point and this time I could see the puzzle... and it crashed again. Third time lucky, fortunately.

The voice for the MAIN character is so! off with what I expect. He should be a hard nose P.I. Sam Spade style grizzed voice, not some pre pubescent eastern European boy!?

This game looks...wow...I don't expect great effort with graphical details in these games, but that secretary scene just looked pathetic. The writing is like lazy borderlands 3/millennial with saying "vacuum noises", the acting conversation was dull and with no emotion. Sounds like the lead programmer ran out of money or wanted to star in the game and had himself voice the lead. Animated characters without interpolation is a bold move. I thought it was a mistake in Quake, and it doesn't look good here either. The stylizing just comes across as high budget/low effort in every way.
