Produced by Quincy Jones. She said in many interviews that this was her least favorite album. She also said that Quincy made the songs difficult for her to sing considering she was also pregnant. (You can see her baby bump the video.) If that wasn’t enough,she said “It felt like she was singing on a Quincy Jones album rather than her own”. But it sounds great to me. She did a great job. May she continue to rest in eternal peace.

STOPPPP! I was 14 when this came out and i LOVED IT! STILL DO but would u believe this is the first time ive ever seen this video, i cant believe it, i love it!!! i also recently learned several contemporaries sang back up on this album, thats incredible. i always thought this was an underappreciated album. but youre talkin to a guy STUCK FOREVER in my 70s and 80s music and even loves her Cats Without Claws and The Wanderer albums. 😇 this video is brand new to me, i just love it, she was still so young and spirited and evolving. im really surprised there havnt been any postumous albums of original material from her long career.

The video doesn't do the song justice, but prbly. no video would. Actually Donna Summer would've deserved the same amount put into MJ. May she rest in peace and continue to (hopefully) inspire as many vocalists as possible. Many years ago I've bought two copies (at once) from her '82 CD. Allegedly it did't do so well with hardcore Donna Summer fans. To me it's the best in her catalogue. F. e. If we think how grandiose her voice scratches and edges on Springsteen's song "Protection'", like "The Boss" himself without making the impression of just copying his articulation. Can anyone do it that well?
