This area / boss must have been a reference to super mario sunshine. Back then, bosses would be fought in the main world area and can be interacted before you fight them.

One time I played this level and it took me FOREVER to beat that boss battle

This boss kinda annoyed me.

Pro tip: You can move forward in the water while possessing one of those squid things with Y. Save yourself lots of time and don’t be a dumbass like me, who spent forever on this boss.

I can’t seem to beat this no matter what I do. It was a cakewalk until here. Then all of a sudden... DIFFICULTY SPIKE! It got insanely hard from here. Yes, you heard that right. There is an actual difficulty spike in this game! I still haven’t beat this boss for 30 minutes. (I got the game for 1 week as of posting this comment) Then I rage quit for an hour. Edit: I beat this boss at 5/7/2020 at about 4 to 4:30am EDT. How were you supposed to know you could ground pound such a large creature? Cappy only tells you you could hit him by spraying water, but I would rather spray upwards until I got above the octopus, then ground pound him. I tried this for about 10 tries, then I checked Super Mario Wiki, then I did it first try. In conclusion... -This game is going in the trash- Just kidding, I love this game. But this part is so Broodal. (Get it? Although there were no Broodals in this Kingdom, I just had to come up with a joke!)

This mollusque lanceur guy is so bloody hard to defeat. It’s so hard getting past 2-3 hits. This game is fkn annoying me now 🤬 Dont know how many times I’ve rage quit
