I also know as most people do, how important ratings are. When TNA dropped to 0.5 in the ratings they ran away from Monday nights back to Thursdays. You aren't reading me correctly. When I said that youth is the way to go I did not say as you think that I am pushing for yet more as though what TNA are doing now isn't satisfying me.

TNA started to copy WWE when Hogan arrived instead of keeping their separate identity. This has now been seen as an error. The changing of the ring was symbolic of this. It was TNA saying we don't want to be an obscure unknown alternative to WWE, we want to be in the mainstream and competing. We saw the Monday night massacre. The rest is history.

There are people who think this story line is pointless.. I beg to differ. This story line is a pipe bomb all its own about what is going on in WWE right now. Daniels and Kaz are displaying character traits of most of the "talent" that we suffer through while AJ and Ken are portraying guys who had to either work too hard to get in the top spots or who have been having to job to "talent" that never should have been moved up. If WWE dies, it will be from making the same mistakes as in 1995-97!!

To me this change was a symbol of what was to come: the alienation of a strong fan base in order to have an imaginary competition with WWE. This change in TNA from 2010 set TNA back at least a year. They are only now starting to recover.

TNA please add these 2 in the Tag Division so we can possible have AJ and Anderson 'The Flying A**HOLES' vs Samoa Joe and Magnus 'SamoaEngland' for the Tag Titles and I would bet the promo work would be good

Let me list off the ones that suck: John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus. Yeah, TNA pretty much tops all of that with just AJ styles.

I read many comments about TNA rather low ratings; however if you think that pro-wrestling is obviously a declining market (at least in US and most of Europe), TNA isn't doing that bad. Take a look at both WWE and TNA ratings in the last 3-4 years: TNA Impact basically stayed between an average of 1.0 and 1.2 throughout this period, while WWE Raw went from 4.2 to current 3.1 (don't consider the pre-WM month). So although WWE's rating are much higher, TNA fans appear to be more loyal to the brand

And we should know there is absolutely nothing wrong with copying. Copying can lead to incredible success, infact copying should be admired. But copying to lead an organisation down the toilet in the short term is questionable. Oh and by the way I am aware that TNA are recovering from a bad period although still stagnant in the ratings, relatively speaking.

I KNOW FOUR SIDES ISN'T COPYING WWE. TNA changed their style a few years back to be more like the WWE, ie. the entertainment route. This may sound bizarre but if WWE had always had 6 sides and TNA 4 sides my bet is that when Hogan joined in January 2010 TNA would have went to 6 sides like WWE.

I've been reading these comments about the changing of the TNA ring to 4 sides and people are crying over the fact that someone may have said TNA copied WWE in changing from 6 sides to 4. How dare you accuse TNA of copying WWE with a ring change? My view is this: it is no coincidence that TNA dropped their 6 sided ring when they decided to go down the 'entertainment" route of wrestling in 2010. I am not saying TNA copied WWE when they made the change for all the deranged marks out there!

With regards to organisations copying each other the point which people are missing is that copying is fine when it works but when it doesn't progress a product it is clearly bad. As soon as you say TNA started to copy WWE and mention the 6 sided ring some idiot will come out of the woodwork and tell you the bleedin obvious: that the 4 sided ring existed before WWE. I gotta be honest, when i first found out about TNA back in 2004 i couldnt be more excited about an alternative to the WWE. I've been watching TNA ever since, but theres something about their story lines the past couple years that really dont make me give a shit about the company. Dont get me wrong, theres a ridiculous amount of great wrestlers there, but as a company, i really dont give a shit.... a lot of these guys would be better off at the grand stage of the WWE... im talkin about you AJ!

@flameheadx17 When you look at TNA now nothing is going to work: youth or "solidified guys" in terms of getting them to where everyone thinks they should be. Wrestling is a declining market and WWE have trouble holding onto their declining ratings. In terms of producing a good product with a future for those who watch youth is the way to go. If we keep concentrating on "solidified guys" there will be no one left once these guys have left the industry. TNA are learning this lesson.
