At only 3 minutes into gameplay and one of these decks seemed .a little stronger than the others; Esper sentinel, cyclonic Rift, mystical tutor, windfall all played or revealed. Then throughout the game we had 4 more tutors, unwinding clock, smothering tithe, mana drain, fierce Guardianship, rhystic Study, teferi's protection, tundra and fetchlands. Somebody misunderstood the assignment and brought a gun to a pillow fight. The other 3 players combined had one card between them on that power level (metal worker).

I don’t think it’s a problem unless folks at the table have a problem. By all accounts, it seems everyone is having a good time. Power is a characteristic of this show, and it’s nice they play with strong cards with a casual approach. It’s not always CGB dropping power. If this was someone’s first episode, I can see what you’re saying leaving a weird impression.

Shea not destroying Esper Sentinel instead of Ben's commander was a huge throw. CGB was just allowed to sit comfortably on his Azorius good stuff deck. As a lover of blue myself, even I know you never let the Azorius player sit pretty.

For Blake not to wiff with his commander adventure cast, the deck needs a volume of around 40 adventure cards, this ensures you get at least 3 from that cast.

My Hylda's is quite different from CGB. I went with lots of passive tap effects like Citadel Siege, Elite Scaleguard, Hammers of Moradin, Court Street Denizen, Ojutai Exemplars and Topplegeist; also, cards like Sunstrike Legionnaire

Did you hear about the new rules change for Adventure Commanders? If Beluna Grandsquall is your Commander, you have the option to cast it or Seek Thrills from your Command Zone. In either case, you must pay Commander Tax according to how many times it has been cast from the Command Zone so far in the current game. If you choose to cast Seek Thrills, exile it as it resolves and you have the option to cast it later from exile without paying Commander Tax. The color identity of a Legendary Creature with Adventure includes the color(s) of any mana symbols in the Adventure’s casting cost. Kellan, the Fae-Blooded has a color identity of White and Red. Think of Adventure Commanders as If you were playing Oathbreaker. Oathbreaker is a sub-format where a Planeswalker is your Commander with a Signature Spell being an Instant or Sorcery. The Adventure Spell acts as your Signature Spell in EDH / Commander.

That's just how Adventure cards work. Also can be thought as if they were DFMCs. Legendary creature on the front. Instant/sorcery on back. No matter what side you cast, the commander tax applies to the full card.

What's the rules change? This has always worked this way: you can cast your commander from the command zone, and Seek Thrills is part of your commander in this case. You can even choose to put it in the command zone after it resolves and cast it again if you want to keep casting Seek Thrills over and over, but you'll pay cumulative commander tax on each cast - and both "halves" of the card count as the same card for this purpose, because they belong to the same commander. This has always worked this way, unless I'm missing something?

At Ben, remove the myriad Landscape from the Deck. You can't search Wastes with her. It is only a tapped "Waste"

myriad landscape searches for two basic land cards that share a land type, put them onto the battlefield. Wastes don’t have a type besides “basic land”. So does that mean that the two wastes share a land type, or because the lack of type, or do they not share a basic land type.

You can technically get wastes with Myriad Landscape, but you can only get 1! Since it says "up to two".

Yeah, it's just confusing since in trailer and lore the name syr as a fancy honorific for any medical knight, not just men I think. But yeah the cookie looks totally female presenting lol. The flavor ( no pun) on the card and a lot in this set are really well done, they make me chuckle

It's just so boring seeing those cards in EVERY deck. I like seeing unique decks that do interesting things. Those cards are the furthest thing from fun and enjoyable.

Some places like quest for the jank lord might be more your speed. I think almost every channel is probably going to play decent cards so the games aren’t super long. Plus this set reprinted a lot of those cards so they are relevant. If you make some commander content I’d love to see you implement the style of play you’d like.

@@spacenue2468 It's less about the cards themselves and just how, if he has white, you know certain cards will be in it and I know he's a great deck builder so seeing him constantly use those just feels lame. I like the premise of Quest for the Janklord, but their personalities can get a little annoying sometimes. And as far as making my own content, I don't have enough people to consistently play with.

I only watch these episodes for the rare instances that the other 3 actually deal with CGB instead of letting him build up a typical controlling board presence. Pretty sure CGB cast more tutors and counterspells than tappers. Literally played all 3 eye-roll cards - Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel and Smothering Tithe, as well as including Mana Drain, Teferi’s Protection, Cyc Rift and other Azorius.deck ‘staples’ *yawn* These episodes would be better if CGB cared less about winning every game and more about fun content.
