Five best weapons with the best weapon traits... 1) Hollowseeker Portal beam Portal turret Serrated particles Waves 2) Electopylon Driver Enlarged chamber Streamlined chamber Silphium extractor Pylon web 3) Rotgland Lober Explosive rot Portal rot Durable rot Caustic rot 4) Dreadbound Explosive shards Expanding shards Returning damage Fourth shard 5) Thermogenic Launcher Full auto Enlarged chamber Critical rockets Tail fire Traits are very important as some weapons can be not so good if you don't have certain traits such as explosive rot for the lobber or full auto for the launcher. Also certain weapons are not that great in certain biomes but absolutely OP in others such as dreadbound which is great in confined areas but not as good in biome 2 or 6. This is why Hollowseeker is the clear number one weapon. It is gonna do you well no matter what trait it has or what biome you're in. And when you get every trait to max level 3 unlock??? The final boss gets melted in about 45 seconds

Electropylon driver is the best gun for all the biomes except boss encounter in biome 3. This gun is a beast for sure

You can get some pretty beast Builds with other weapons as well, but the Pylon can be really strong without much setup.

LOL yuuuup when i picked this gun up i'm just thinking hold on, this thing is insane. Fire and forget, stick multiple enemies and it destroys them with ease. This weapon is disgusting lol, i love it

At first this gun is best in game 100% however. Once you level up a Hallow seeker and realize you can get it with 2 portals you'll see the actual best gun in game

@@theandy2000 Atleast right now you have to be 15 proficiency to have portal beam and 20 to have portal turret so you can't completely abuse it in all zones. But pylon driver has web 0. So that thing is busted at all stages lol. But both are deluxe weapons

Retraction: It's 10 for Beam and 15 for turret. Maybe pushing back 5 levels each is a good nerf because right now. If you have both the final boss is a 1 min ez mode fight

Electropylon Driver is a beast, but like all weapons, in certain situations it'll have you at a disadvantage. For example in areas like Abyssal Scar, or biome #3 where a long range approach is more suited

You choose the Easy mode not in the beginning of the Start screen, but by picking up Electropylon Driver.

thanks for this - I've been smashing my head against the abyss for a better part of a week, and finally went and picked up the pylon driver and got all the way to the ophion for the first time.

I completed the whole of biome 5 and 6 in one go because of the pylon driver. I beat the boss at the end of biome 6 without losing much health at all never mind my astronaut or sylphium vials. You can just light it up and hit those red dots then just concentrate on his attacks while dodging about and the damage over time does the rest. The driver is the best gun on the game for me. Maybe not the most fun like the carbine or hollowseeker but definitely the most op against any enemy. Imo

Yes the pylon driver is definitely the most effective weapon in the game. I loved the hollowseeker and carbine, but the driver took my heart ❤

There is something to be said about certain combos on the Hallowseeker. P.D is surely one of the most unique though.

@@MistaFiOth The biggest concern I had with the hollowseeker was it's lack of punching power, especially against bosses.

Give Hollowseeker with Portal Beam a try. By the end of the game you can get one with Portal Beam and Portal Turret. Biome 6 is a walk in the park with it.

Did it get nerfed on the new patch or does it work the same? The game definitely seems harder after the patch.

If you don't have Web on it it'll feel substantially different.

@@Kseekconsciousness get Pylon Web and Streamlined Chamber (I think that's the one for capacity) and you'll have more shots in the mag and faster DPS due to the unloading speed.

I found that the pylon driver is definitely the best, however against Nemesis, the thermogenic launcher is worth swapping for. Otherwise Pylon will carry through the whole game.

I wouldn't say "the best". There are Perks on some Weapons - like the Hallowseeker - that can decimate entire rooms, like Portal Beam/Turret. The Pylon's strong point is the D.O.T - shoot and forget. Others have their niches as well.

@@MistaFiOth I found out the hard way of trying to be overly cautious at first. Then I did the opposite of running too much without concentrating on smaller enemies, and wondering why I got hit so much. It's definitely a game you have to learn and it's incredible once you do. I'm definitely going to continue playing to get that secret ending 💪

If you have some knowledge of human psychology, you'll start getting the undertones pretty quickly. It's an extremely deep game, with some very strong references to the human condition. Enjoy it. It's a Masterpiece.

How do you upgrade the traits on the weapon? I see you have traits that Are lv1 and lvl 2

Keep using a gun that has a Perk on it. As soon as you upgrade it to the MAX you get to "keep" it in your DATABANK. After that you'll be getting drops with Lv.II etc. Not always ofc but they become available.
