I set crab pots / traps and quickly catch plenty of giant mud crabs. While waiting for the crabs to go into the pots, I catch yabbies for bait and later try my luck fishing. I enjoy an afternoon of spectacular weather and scenery, then head off to cook the mud crabs. I hope you enjoy this boating and fishing adventure as much as I did! Take care! #returnoutdoors #mudcrab

Never get tired of watching beautiful country you never know what your gonna see up around the bend plus I was thinking maybe a nice grunter when I saw you getting the yabbies lol 👍🏼

Too true, it is the mystery of watch is around the next bend or what each outings will bring that has never grown old for me. I also thought I might get a grunter or a nice flathead with the yabbies!. It was the first of our cooler weather and water temperature had dropped and slowed the fishing. Thanks for your comment!👍

I have always enjoyed using yabbies / nippers for bait from a boat or walking the sand flats. The cool here change in the weather possibly slowed the fishing down for a short while. Thanks for your comment!👍

Bit of a light on day, by your usual standards. Still it is 3 more muddies than I would have managed. Thanks for keeping it real, not every trip is a bonanza. Look forward to your next adventure.

Three muddies was a nice bonus to spending the afternoon outdoors on an absolutely stunning day! It was the first of our cool weather for the year and possibly caused the slow fishing. Thanks for your support!👍

I have always enjoy pumping a few yabbies for bait and then walking the sand flats fishing for whiting, flathead ect. The fishing was a bit quite in this episode as we experienced the first of our cool weather. I will give the yabbies another go very soon. Thanks for your comment!👍

May I know what was the bait that you used and how long did it take for you to wait before going back to the traps to check if there were catch?
@returnoutdoors2210

I use either chicken or fish frames for bait. When using dillies I leave them for 10 to 15 minutes before I go back and check for crabs. Thanks for your question!👍

Do you have your cutoff lanyard on while your standing up ?
@returnoutdoors2210
@returnoutdoors2210 Жыл бұрын
Good question! When operating in the rivers I don’t wear it as I am constantly moving around the boat and it is not at all practical. If I felt the situation warranted the wearing of a lanyard I would most certainly do so. Thanks for your question!👍
