Clearly an epic run for your first time. I visited Interlaken in recent years and went up to Piz Gloria. What a spectacular view of the alps. Hard to beat.

Unfassbare Energieleistung. Wer selbst Ski fährt, kann das ermessen. Darfst dir an der falschen Stelle keinen Fehler erlauben. Mit 100 Sachen an den Baum, das wär’s dann wohl gewesen. Chapeau!

nice show, brings good memories from my latest visit at the Taurus mountains 👍😄🙄 at 11:30 you found yourself at a narrow and quite fast lane. 7:45 I also have, yet more severe case of non parallel skies but I hope it will get better while gaining experience..

In der Zeit - Schapeau! Bin das Ding '72 gefahren - die Zeit weiß ich nicht mehr. Da waren am Allmendhubel aber viele viel üblere Steigstrecken drin und die Waldwege nach Mürren noch nicht so aufgeräumt.

Je später die Startnummer und je weicher/frischer der Schnee, desto übler ist die Strecke.

It is good to see the whole route on camera fixed on head - only at the end it is not very clear how you reached the destination - but still very good to see the complete piste

Beautifull race!! Congratulations... I was thinking what temperature reaches the base of the skis due to snow friction? Did they get hot enough to melt some snow? Does water appear below the ski? That produce some braking effect?. I guess any kind of groove would add some braking effect also because you would be adding "surface" were more snow gets in...But if we could insert some air there in some way...you will flight!! Specially in the rear part of the skis..Just thinking..

+81Heino about 25% of the run is a regular run. The rest, in particular the second half, is only available for the race.

Weiss nicht, bin immer nur zum Infernorennen dort. Ich schätze mal ja, da der untere Teil der Strecke ein normaler Waldweg ist. Im oberen Teil sollte man eigentlich auch mit dem Fahrrad fahren können.

+leo karavasilil Probably because the snow was too moguled to safely straight line it and slip streaming is probably illegal like it is in cycling time trials.

This race is every year (except this year). The length varies depending on the snow-condition. In 2013, when I shot this video, it was the full track, which is 17kms long. Some steep parts, but mostly rather flat, which kills your legs :)
