@@wariorneverdie In the game Destiny 2, one of the expansions was called Shadowkeep. In it, the moon was filled with nightmare ghosts. The marketing for it used the tagline "Moon's Haunted" to spur people to action.

Having parents be loving, but clueless is something so weirdly painful that it is complicated to unpack. To know they truly love you, but also bring harm your way by being too naive, gullible, reckless, maybe even careless sometimes. Children can be neglected and hurt not only by choice, but by mistake and lack of sense. This hit me hard.

My PC had a (a single) mother like that who made choices that seemed good for both of them but ended up hurting the child. She seemed to be unaware or turned a blind eye to her child's predicaments.

@@poofballoon presumably Fearnes safety was what she provided and in exchange she "got" Fearne. Whatever happens next they still missed out on their daughter growing up as she was a child when they left and she's an adult now. There's also the fact Satyrs don't live as long as Fearne already has so unless Matt has changed the Satyr lifespan there could be long term consequences for Fearne due to an unnaturally long lifespan. Maybe she'll begin to age rapidly if she doesn't return to the Feywild soon.

I’m fascinated by the way Fearne/Ashley have described Morri as this kind grandmother with an innocently mischievous bent, whereas, the more we learn about her, the more sinister she is starting to seem. I don’t know where this is going to go but I cannot wait to find out.

@@zeluqa I sure as hell didn't expect it, I thought she might be a powerful masterful fey manipulator and maybe important social figure, but learning that she's a hag and in the same category as Isharnai from the M9 campaign puts this bootnasty quality to her that is just so dark. Such a cool twist by such a small wording detail.

I really like how whenever Liam realises he messed up and used an ability or taken an action he shouldn't have been able to, he let's matt know asap so it can be corrected, regardless of what negative impact it has on his characters performance, consistently, across all 3 campaigns, real king shit.

So, being a creature of masterful contract manipulation, did Morrigan basically decide that Fearne was both the favor and the price? Like, "I'll keep her safe, but I get a precious granddaughter all to myself for the next 90 years." I can imagine a dozen different ways how the Calloways' choice of words when asking Morri to take care of Fearne could've been twisted into a Fey contract like that, especially by a hag as powerful as Morrigan has been insinuated to be. Or I guess something I saw in other comments, Fearne was unintentionally given as collateral for a future favor to the Calloways in Morrigan's mind, so Fearne wasn't allowed to leave until the Calloways called for a favor. Stretching the passage of time around Fearne could've been both Morrigan trying to enjoy as much granddaughter time as possible, while simultaneously acting as a sort of interest rate by stealing their daughter's age until the Calloways cashed out. Matt is so methodically evil with his hags and I live for it. Where's Laura Bailey with a cupcake when you need one? lol

With the Calloways being Fey in nature, i don't think they'd mess up like that, it seems like Ira used Fearnes life as the cost for the lense, by the reactions of Fearnes parents it seems like that's also what they think

-_- I guess I did not see it as everyone else. I believed Mori did some type of time distortion to have more time to work on the Lens. Was not sure if it was evil because of her relation with Birdy. She knew they needed a highly advance item and she needed time which was impossible to achieve within the time available. So she may have distorted time which gave her more time to work on the item and check on Fearn. But ya, my D&D knowledge is not the best.

@@GahloWake When told that Fearne's life being kept as payment was an option for something, likely the gem, both of her parents do the deep thinking and don't remember that being part of any deal they made and turn to Ira, with a "Ira please tell me you didn't?" tone to their voices, and Ira just ignores the question, if Fey can't lie, they can ignore the question, or lie by omission (like Yu did from the start), either Ira wants a conflict with Fearne's parents and is letting them jump to their own conclusion or Ira bargained away Fearne's life for the gem. An alternative is that Fearne's parents did it and someone removed the memory of it from them and Ira is for some reason protecting them from that knowledge, which raises a lot of questions about who and why and is Ira as evil as we think they are or evil with some redeeming qualities.

Imogen did a total of 221 damage if you count all the collateral bullet damage from the lightning strike according to the numbers from Crit Role stats, not including the "two hits and a crit hes just dead" guy. Which puts her over Percy's Search For Grog record of 197 as a 20th level character. At level 6. That's frickin amazing.

I'm assuming that Delilah is working alone as Laudna's patron. Serving Vecna hadn't really panned out for her before as she and her husband were murdered several times in his service with little to show for it, and now she is an entity far beyond what she was as a mortal serving him. The message whispers echo The Whispered One title, but that feels more like thematic carry over from her former master. Delilah herself is a compelling antagonist that Laudna has direct connection to, and muddying it up with revisiting Vecna doesn't feel like the direction this will go. Delilah trying to pull a copycat and use the knowledge about ascension she learned from helping Vecna do it the first time though? That sounds like her plan.

The Irish Morrigan resembles a lot the Norns/Fates with a bit of Valkyries thrown in. She foretells death in battle to heroes and tries to manipulate them into falling to said demise. I think the "fate stitcher" title given by Matt is smart considering the Norns connection, but may be just a coincidence on his part.

My understanding is that they left her with Morrigan before they knew about the lens, right back when they originally left after stealing the crown; when they needed the lens, Ira went and made the deal for the lens and that's when Morrigan stretched time. That's my take, anyway.

I don't know about anyone else, but I really want to see the Hells trying to PROCESS everything that has been thrown at them. Coz the Hells have been going balls-to-the-wall for the past several episodes and have not REALLY taken the time to talk to one another and come to terms with everything going on. The whole Dusk/Yu insanity Imogen and Laudna’s relationship Fearne and her parents (and Morri) FCG and Dancer, plus the whole Aeormaton thing Chetney and his apparent siding with Dusk/Yu Orym, Fearne, and Laudna and their respective feelings in the aftermath The Grim Verity revelations The Ruidusborn revelations The Nightmare King, the Telescope-whatsit, and RUIDUS Whatever Plan B is now going to be for dealing with Treshi

He had this straight-man energy he brought to the group that really let the other characters bounce off of him in a fun way, especially the wackier characters like Laudna. Chet's fun don't get me wrong but I feel like Bertrand's personality filled a social gap the group is kinda lacking without him.

After watching and hearing the point made by Imogen "I see a god that can't escape" I was immediately drawn back to Fjord and Ukatoa. I think that there's something in the moon that has been reaching out to Imogen (hence the dreams) and the day she finally fully surrenders to them she'll be offered a similar bargain. "Help free me, and these powers are yours to command." I don't know, maybe I'm crazy but that's my take.

Whatever ruidis is ww have the big plot element of this campaign it seems. It looks like a lot of the party is or will be very linked to what's going with that moon. Been a slower start this campaign but it's shaping up to be very interesting.

Not really. In one someone jumped of a cliff the other the DM ruled physics operates differently in his world. In one a player killed her self. In the other the player killed 3 enemies and took out the main treat.... Vastly different.

Hey, in the crawler fight scene, I think imogen managed to make a new record for "creative ways to cause chaos on the battlefield" by managing to incidentally damage EVERYONE, friend and foe, on the field, with a simple level 3 lightning bolt. I believe that solidifies the pattern for the PC cast of critical role, no matter what campaign, is that they have a tendency to turn a situation that is initially a problem for them, very quickly into a problem for EVERYONE on the battlefield, without exception.

Laudna's Spell Sniper is so damned good, I am really enjoying the build she has for her character. It feels very roleplay heavy, even when the better options are available.
