ABOUT US:
Hello! I’m Vivienne, the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful (and wonderfully funny!) husband, Simon, our daughter, and -whenever possible- lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 20 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, nearly 18 years, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and -of course- antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. We hope you will join us on our adventures in this exceptional location, and we look forward to sharing a little Château Love!

I’m a new subscriber and a Florida native and I be really enjoyed your Florida videos with your family. I literally have tears streaming down my face while your brother is singing “Hey Jude”, it reminds me so much of my family gatherings of old. We also have a musical family and that’s exactly what we do! Break out the musical instruments and everyone showcases and combines their talents. But we have lost dear family members and I myself and bedridden with stage 4 Multiple Sclerosis and lupus. Your handsome brother with with beautiful voice reminded me so much of my sons. And yes, we are big Beatles fans!!! I am enjoying your Château Love KZfaq channel so much that I’ve been binge watched by all your videos. I love Europe and traveled widely as a journalist in my younger days. I’ve dreamed of that same lifestyle for most my life - hoping for a little chateau or country house my husband and I could fix up. But he passed away and this illness has sidelined me after coping with it for most of my life (but I still celebrated my 40th birthday in Venice and managed a 10 mile hike in the alps after one of most terrible surgeries. So I have lived! And now I live with my daughter’s family (which is crazy and my job is to help keep order from my bed 😄). But it’s KZfaq channels Luke yours that also brighten and enrich my life so much! Because of my illness and not able to comment too much, but I’m here lurking, and I try to like each and everyone one of your awesome, super fun videos!! Thank you again and keep those videos coming! How lovely for you to be able to travel now and be a part of their extra special day! I have to say, I always love any and all sweet puppy footage! My precious Maltipoo is an 11-ish-year-old puppy and as of last week is modeling “pretty pants” just like Ashley’s puppy. She’s a rescue so we are guessing at her age. But even though she’s a little elderly lady of an undetermined age, she’s always my beloved puppy dog! It’s difficult not to love puppies of all ages and breeds! But dare I say a doodle is especially fabulous! 😉🥰😘 Thanks for sharing your amazing family with us... the furry and not so furry! 😉😆😂
