This book really shows how bad Rick is at continuity. I honestly feel like he intentionally retcons things because of the way he’s handled the show lol

@@vashtinayagar1325 i feel like people like him Stephnie Meyer and JK Rowling just keep changing the continuity and add new things that just break the series instead of making new series

@@user-pk4gy9ic6c Stephanie Meyer at least does it for shits and giggles. None of the lore that she adds to the story actually changes anything that wasn’t already there, but with JK and Rick, I feel like they actively take away from the story when they change things. When JK said that she thought that Harry and Hermione should have ended up together I was shocked because (as a Harmione shipper) the only reason they even COULD be together is because of Dan and Emma’s chemistry, she was just caving into fan shipping. With Rick, I feel like he himself thinks that he’s improving upon the story when he makes these changes. The only problem with that is that he has such a bad understanding of his own characters that he butchers them in the process. He’s done it with Heroes of Olympus (Percy and Annabeth) and now he’s dont it with the show. I really don’t think he’s reliable as an author in an adaptation in the same way that JK is, at least she has a thorough understanding of her world and characters.

@@justhana4779 I guess I just always assumed the iris messaging thing happened closer to the beginning of ToA, like things slowly got worse and iris messaging was one of them but happened closer to the holidays

luckily i wiped off the excess with alcohol wipes but i didn't know how serious that could be! gonna prob move towards custom press ons in the future cause i'm scared now haha
