Probably the BEST explanation of why to disaffiliation.

Very well said, a reasoned viewpoint based on moral conviction. Thanks, Reverend Haustein, for helping us think about this subject a little more deeply.

As a United Brethren Pastor, my heart breaks from what is happening in the UMC. Yes, it has been a long time coming. The kicking the can has gone on too long.

Challenging the divinity of Christ, the virgin birth, the trinity and the resurrection, sad to see the Methodist Church destroyed by leadership walking in darkness.

Faster I see your struggle and I understand this is difficult. I got saved in the Methodist Church. But I would give you and anyone in ministry one piece of advice. Its not what we think or what’s written in the bylaws of any church. or somebody else said, You cannot fit the doctrine of any church, without the doctrine of what Jesus said. What’s written in the Scriptures. How many are called but few will answer. We are the body of Christ as the Holy Spirit dwells within us and lies and false teachings and false doctrine have torn the Methodist church apart. Might be a good idea if everybody reviewed Revelation three and John’s description of the churches. We love the sinner, but not the sin.

ED- come on over to SOUTHERN BAPTIST untill we split! as the old song says you got to believe in something or you will fall for anything! I agree with u wholeheartledly. maybe the umc leans too close to the catholic views which are many wrong. never should the bishop/ board own the facilities or send a gay preacher. hang in there as JESUS will bless.
