REVEREND IDOWU ANIMASAWUN’s life as a Juju Music Lord in the 60s, 70s and 80s was spiced with lots of activities until JESUS took him into the vineyard in 1983 for His Works.
A trained stenographer who later became an ICON in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry especially in the South Western Part of the country; his brand of Juju music was then referred to as “Apola”.
He was the APOLA KING that ruled the entertainment industry of the early 60s to the 80s alongside his peers like Chief Commander Ebenezer OBEY Fabiyi and King Sunny Ade among others until Christ arrested him for His Kingdom work.
He left indelible marks on the musical scene with hit songs like “Ijo Apola’, ‘Thunder Balogun’, ‘Apola Tunde’, ‘Odidere L’oga Ede’, ‘Kini n be N’igbo’ and several other tracks that remained evergreen till date.
The gifted Composer, Arranger, Singer and Instrumentalist is now a clergy with full devotion to ministerial activities inside Badeku Town in Oyo State (Few Kilometres away from Ibadan town).
The Juju Apola creator is now fully committed to propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and giving freely every resource that comes his way to support every effort to win souls for Jesus Christ. He suffered much consequent to his conversion and commitment to Christ, yet he did not turn back.
His desire is to always obey Christ’s commands and one finds it very difficult to believe he ever came from a Muslim background.
IDOWU ANIMASAWUN is one of the few celebrities, who after giving their life to Christ, stabilized in the faith, and thereafter commit to serving the Lord as a missionary in the rural area. He is a true believer in Christ, and a missionary per excellence fully committed to the assignment of training upcoming missionaries.
He and his late wife, Deborah Animasawun, co-founded WorldHope Ministries in 1985 with Headquarters at Badeku town. The ministry reaches out with the gospel to other rural environments in Nigeria.
During his 86th birthday in February 15, 2024, he launched his long anticipated biography titled “PRESERVED FOR A PURPOSE”.
Asabe Afrika TV met him in Lagos in the evening of Friday February 23rd during a short visit and the legendary Juju Music Lord turned Christ Ambassador spoke on life experience and why he put all in a book.
IN THIS PART 2, he spoke strongly on the now controversial misdemeanor of Pastor (Mrs.) Siju Iluyomade wife of RCCG, City of David Parish's Pastor Idowu Iluyomade who threw a lavish 60th birthday bash in Lagos with presence of several secular musician (including Flavour) few days after the death of a prominent church member and banker, Herbet Wigwe who died alongside his wife, son and friend in a helicopter crash in USA.

I agree with daddy Animashaun that there are many unbelieving believers in the christiandom. Nobody is against her celebration but they should have applied their sense/wisdom, if at all they have it, and suspend/postpone it.

To add insult to injury, a non-gospel artiste was invited to perform where we have numerous gospel artistes available. Both siju and her husband are not worthy to be called pastors cos there is nothing in them to show that they have anointing or calling from God, so, nobody should emulate them

The fact is that the Iluyomades are inwardly happy about the deaths of the Wigwes. Again, the Iluyomades are not happy and they are jealous of the Wigwes when they are alive. It's a pity that some churches handpicked their pastors based on social status and academic achievement. The word of God says" we should mourn with those who are mourning and rejoice with those who rejoicing. Even Yoruba culture and tradition forbade people to make jest of the bereaved family. The Iluyomades should repent of their sin against God and humanity.

So much hypocrisy in the church from the pulpit to the members. No one knows who a true believer.... even some modest looking pastors and some gospel artist are using strange powers to stay relevant...... so lets us face and work out our salvation with fear and trembling....... If Wigwe was a poor member of the church no who would have cry out against the church....

I knew this man of God back in the 80s at Odo Ona Ibadan. The work of late false prophet TB Joshua is still following him! Baba Adeboye needs to fix lots things at RCC before the Lord calls him home. You can't be planting churches every 2 kilometers and not end up with unconverted pastors on the pulpits. Asaba, you mean that other litigant Daddy G.O is still locking people up? Nawwa ho😁

But how do people sit comfortably under the preaching of a woman like this and be thinking they are in the presence of God 🤔like is it so hard to discern that she is a Jezebel. For me I don't need a second look to see it. Please members of the church of God I mean those who don't want to fall into pit, as soon as the holy Spirit opens your eyes to see anything wrong in a church, don't wait just run. There was a time I went to a church, the first thing God pointed my eyes to was how sunlight is not allowed to come into the church. They only put disco lights, even white lights is off during the service, just the disco lights and the big screen in front. Then the walls of the church is all black. At first I thought what if they are just trying to modernize it and make it more lively, I ignored, it was God that didn't allow me fall into their trap o, thank God for holy Spirit and power of God in me, it was by themselves they made enemity with me when they saw I am not someone who is moved by fantasy, many times they wanted me to be the type who fantasize about things I don't have and there is no way to have them yet, they called me arrogant and rude and uncontrollable. What I learned is if you are the type who wants billion in your account by tomorrow morning even though you are struggling for 2k today, they will trap, those things that God has given you and you don't appreciate they will make you sell them and let me tell you, they don't do it on ordinary eyes, they are demonic. So just run as soon as holy Spirit in you condemns anything in any church you get to.

Anytime you want to tell people the truth about the kingdom of God, they will start calling you names but don't be discourage... As a believer we should not relent in telling them the truth without joining their evil deed.
