Reverend Franklin is noted to be the Pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan. He is the father of Aretha Franklin. It is possible - maybe? - that one of the back-up female voices is Aretha's.

I recall hearing him sing this when I wasv16/17. I am now 65 and listening to this the 1st time since I was a kid. It still gives me chills. I miss the service we had back then. I loved Rev. Franklin.

Listening to Rev. C.L. Franklin singing and preaching seems like I am sitting in the church with the others. so wondetful . My Mother have always loved to hear him singing and preaching. Listening to her favorites. Im Going Thru, The O Ship of Zion, I'll Go and others.... May God bless the Hearers.

This gives me chills I grew up to Detroit churches I'm not from there but we drive a 1hr and 30 minutes every Sunday when I was a child I miss the old school church music and everything about it

Man what a powerful voice, my mother whent to New bethel when rev Franklin was pastor, She shared alot of memories with me I lovethis kind of music makes you think about your life and your soul too.
