Launched in 1995, the Honda Integra Type R DC2 was officially named Type R after the NSX-R NA1 in 1992. The first generation of Integra Type R DC2 (also referred to as DC2 R for short) uses a B18C four-cylinder engine, coupled with a dual camshaft VTEC, outputs 200 horsepower at 8,000rpm. The horsepower per liter is as high as 111 horsepower, this is an extremely high value for a naturally aspirated engine in 1990s. In addition, Honda used racing technology to improve and polish the DC2 engine to meet the high-speed and high-output requirements, and then strengthened the Integra body, such as adding cross members to the frame, and the body also has strengthening welds, combined with the wing, made the Honda Integra Type R an excellent entry-level sports car choice at that time, and it also became the favorite choice of many racing novice. After the launch of Integra Type R DC2, the automotive media all over the world praised it, and even said that DC2 was the best front-wheel drive sports car at that time. After nearly 30 years, Lung Sir and Edmond Lau had the opportunity to test drive the popular JDM Integra Type R DC2 in Tai Mo Shan, and it was an extremely original version. Both of them were extremely excited, and Lung Sir explained The reason why DC2 is so great.

97年回流香港兼初入行做汽車傳媒不久,買了96Spec DC2 Type R, 買入價係27萬左右。當時仲有出黎飛吓街,初初並不多DC2出黎飛。96Spec同98Spec,個人我比較喜歡96Spec, 因為原廠佢個車尾動態比較主動/活躍,就好似你開梗一部傳統後驅車咁。不過可能因為咁,後期98Spec原廠車尾動態設定就冇咁主動及活躍,就算換咗直徑大啲嘅尾防傾桿,都做唔出原廠96Spec車尾那種動態表現。所以到今時今日,都希望可以再揸番原味96Spec。

其實96spec當年因為日本事故頻出,車廠只好加大軸距、輪胎、煞車,連變速箱齒比都變疏,這點讓98spec的駕駛感受變的溫和不少

Back then it would be hard to replicate the 96 spec's rear end's behavior without retrofitting rear lower control arms, camber arms, rear sway bar and rear springs onto a 98 spec car. But nowadays there are lots of aftermarket parts avail from different brands ie Hardrace, honed development so you can get the adjustable camber arms, toe links, lower control arms, sway bar links with spherical bushings not to mention many coilover kits you can still buy for this car to tailor the spring rates, rake, ride height and most importantly the rear camber and toe settings you can adjust to suit your taste; in this case to replicate the 96 spec feel. This way you can get the best of both worlds.

個人覺得DC2嗰期,又係香港最爆發期。 忙嘅人忙到冇時間玩車,有錢都買部貴車扮嘢或見客就算。 玩日本R車的人又真係狼過頭,多數操爆或撞爛。 真冇諗過佢會成為一去不返的經典,可惜。

at 8:50 Actually B18C type R engine wasn't the first to be fitted with the main bearings cap girdle. The more pedestrian version of it, the B18C non type R that first came out in DC2 SiR ( JDM ), GSR ( USA Spec ) and Vti-r ( Aust spec ). Honda obviously felt the need to reinforce this area with the high piston speeds at 8000rpm and above.

你部是98spec 有ABS, SRS 重量是1100Kg 而最輕是96spec 無ABS,SRS 是1060.

呢 D 車架有幾唸 曾經車友講過 DC2 開左 rear hatch 倒後上駁 之後係關唔到個 hatch 既 EG EK 開住車門積起亦係關唔到車門既 可見車架 flexing 真係幾誇張 過去幾個月揸緊 CA5 3 代 Accord Aerodeck 對於 4 輪雙搖臂既 handling 感覺真係要寫個服字 但因為車架剛性不足導致既波棍虛位等等又好有同感 3 代 Accord 係第一款 mass production 四輪雙搖臂 + 碟煞 + ABS 既車 Aerodeck 更係罕有既 shooting brake 而 A20A 12v 雖然無 Vtec 又係幾特別既技術 希望不久將來可以俾你地試
