By the time this happened, it was a different set of management and ultimately an internal decision. If Activision never asked they probably wouldn't have made these decisions as fast, but really they had to have known what they were getting into when they partnered with Activision.

Actually, I think that those extra classes were the subclasses. They must have changed it later on, making it so that these other classes would actually be implemented into the first 3 classes.

We were originally supposed to get a 4th, class “necromancer” before it got cut for being to similar to a warlock. So it could have been for that.

MuscledRMH a game that keeps you playing is a good game. Personally, the gamplay and AI is the best I've ever played in a shooter. The setback for me is the lack of content, but the game is still fun and I enjoy it. The story is lackluster, but how much can an mmo-esque game focusing on replayability on a console capture four different races, four storylines, four planets, and four different concepts entirely; it is too hard to do unless bungie delayed the release for a long number of years which would enfuriate the player base. It's a trade off that bungie made : would rather play now and enjoy the game that grows overtime or rather wait five years for a more complete game but have players angry at the delay.

321puca Seriously. I understand why everyone is so angry now. I'm one of the people that saw an AD for the final version of Destiny and thought it was amazing right away. I still have no regrets buying the game but watching this trailer and seeing all the things we could've had makes me a little sad. Bungie really did have a solid game.

But bungie have apparently (According to a leak) hired new writers for the second game and in this trailer it shows a hologram of some sorts at 3:35 it looks like the light house kind of looking place the leak claimed destiny 2 would have a big part on mercury. The parts of the leak about the taken king were mostly true so i am going to believe the sake of what i am about to say. Is it possible that they are going to reuse some of the old story parts for the next game it seems to show based of one clip but thats all it is one clip. Still interesting and something to think about though

I was just about to comment this. With their lead writer leaving they must have axed a LARGE portion of the game and redid the story line. And if they start releasing most of the story in extra cost DLCs imma be pissed.

I mean, everything they showed in the two vidocs never acutally showed up in the game. Like the interactive cutscenes with the speaker, the explanation of the story by npcs in the world, the intresting layout and map designs reminiscent of halo. WTF.

You never see the "Wall" that the Guardians defend getting attacked or something, getting a ship means nothing, it only shows up during loading screens and cinematics. No trading of any kind, really? in an MMO? I get a bunch of item copies I wish I could trade with other people. Everything feels like it was cut in half and either postponed for future DLC or the eventual sequel. Ive been playing Bungie games since the 90s with Marathon and Myth, but they didn't hit it big until Halo, but Destiny clearly shows that Bungie is losing it.

First, Light Fall and then Final Shape, to think they had ANY of this planned a decade ago is crazy, this game is so well thought out and told in such a mysterious way that it took this long to understand the rival of the traveler! like, we barely questioned why it came to earth in its "last stand" and made ghosts to basically defend itself lol but we had fun along the way, It'll probably continue past Final Shape, this game is limitless, assuming we beat the darkness lol!

The game is amazing Activision didn't get in the way of Bungie making Destiny Bungie still has an amazing vision for the game, and the game has loads of content from the beginning. This is merely the introduction to something massive Bungie just wanted to get the game out there and begin it's evolution.

Trevor Squires i agree, destiny is still a really good game! but its obvious bungie was not able to release the game with the content they had intended. and yes it was Activision because activision pushed about getting the game out so early and they also forced bungie to remove a lot from the original game because "it wouldnt sell"

Teh Beasty There was creative differences between the leaders at Bungie and when they tried to recover from it Activision forced them to meet their deadline. The vision that Joe Staten and Marty O'Donnell had was scrapped and so they quit.
