I abandoned my doctor and the American Medical Association last August! They made my life completely miserable for the proceeding decade. I was happy and relatively healthy, and then my doctor decided that he had to pursue my high cholesterol and high blood pressure, (neither very high) and he put me on some nasty medications, the last of which was Statins. Suddenly, I was no longer happy and relatively healthy. First, I developed diabetes, hello Statins. Next, I developed prostate cancer. Say goodbye to your prostate and sex life. And finally, I developed cataracts in both eyes. Once again, Statins. All in a short period of time. I remember saying, "What the Hell is going on?" So I have abandoned my doctor and the AMA. I may not live as long, but at least I won't be tortured to death!

Same experience here with my son. He's now 43 and all I did along with the speech therapy back then was to carefully change and monitor his diet. Back then they said he was "brain damaged" don't think the word Autism was out back then. They wanted me to enroll him in a school for the developmentally delayed called The Shield of David in NYC. I, after visiting the school and looking around at the children my son was being grouped with, I, of course said NO and went home and worked out a plan for my son. During that time he scored 99 in Math and 100 in English on the NY Citywide exams in the 1st Grade and was in Gifted and Talented classes thereafter. I even wrote an article for "Autism Speaks" when he was about 7 years old sharing what I did for my son to help his behavior without the recommended drug Ritalin they kept trying to prescribe. I vehemently said NO and I caught hell with doctors, the Play Therapist and the school while I zeroed in on his food allergies. He only ate what I prepared and he carried that in his lunch box every day. My intuition worked, and I'm so glad I acted accordingly.

I'm an intelligent woman in my 80s. For a few years I have been going to a really lovely female doctor near me. Over the years she has prescribed various drugs which I have not taken after doing much research. I had not disclosed this to her until recently. Unfortunately she was angry and said if I didn't follow her instructions with regard to medications, she would no longer be able to treat me. Her chart showed I should be taking at least 5 pills a day. I am disappointed in her (and she with me, no doubt), but I take no prescription pills at all and am quite healthy so don't see the need to take a pill just because.

I totally agree with you. 13 years ago, I was treated for cancer and my doctor advised me that I needed a small surgery followed by radiation. No other treatment was needed. However, I was referred to another doctor who put some information into a computer and said that I had an 86% of being alive in 10 years with no more treatment, or a 92% with taking a cocktail of chemo medications. I was horrified, I’m very sensitive to meds and that didn’t seem like enough of a benefit . How can a computer predict that with such accuracy? What about the side effects of the meds? That wasn’t taken into consideration. The doctor was disappointed. That’s when I realized that this treatment plan was not about what was in my best interest, but in the doctors. (Im still healthy!) Thank you for your videos, I seem to have a personal story that relates to everyone!

I’m a post war child and a Physics graduate. Even being ancient, doesn’t stop me being able to quickly analyse any mathematical data in my head. The argument (put simply) of ‘percentage change’ against ‘absolute change’ is EVERYWHERE. The Latest drivel put out by the useless NHS is about trying to get my age group to get vaccinated against shingles. I can’t remember the exact words, only the gist of the asinine advertisements on TV saying how many of us are ‘at risk of getting shingles’, instead of how many of the population ‘actually get shingles’ in a given period. As an aside, I am ‘at risk’ of ANYTHING. ‘Risk’, ‘chance’ and ‘probability’ are very confusing for almost the entire population, but because they are ‘familiar words’, everybody ‘thinks’ they can understand and differentiate between them. In the UK, there is the National Lottery. Even they, on their website, confuse ‘chance’ and ‘probability’. For ME, I am NOT confused. if I do NOT buy a ticket I have NO CHANCE of winning; if I buy a ticket, I have A CHANCE of winning. Very simple (but the writers of the website have not made it so). BUT, if I do buy a ticket, I’m not guaranteed to win, there is a ‘probability’ of 1 in 45,057,474 of winning the jackpot. Little wonder most people simply don’t understand anything mathematical. Having had an awful, permanent reaction to the Pfizer ‘booster’ in 2021 - and nobody at my health centre was in the least interested, not even taking notes - I am careful, sensibly, what goes into my arm. Consequently, at my time of life, after numerous personal interactions, I believe the NHS needs ‘thinning out’, or even drastic, compulsory restructuring, because it is now a self satiating money pit, not fit for purpose.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. I went to medical school and was in pharmaceutical sales for 11 years. I know exactly what you are talking about. For example, only about 5% of strokes are bleed-out strokes whereas 95% of strokes are occlusive strokes. YET WE TREAT TENS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE EVERY YEAR WITH "MILD TO MODERATE" HYPERTENSION IN THE HOPES OF PREVENTING THESE 5% OF STROKES. And blown aneurisms are NOT caused by too much blood pressure but are caused by weak arteries due to a COPPER DEFICIENCY. The supposed "RISK REDUCTION" statistics in marketing anti-hypertensives always dazzle us with absolute vs relative risks whenever it suits the pharmaceutical companies.

Lipids - normal. Cholesterol - HDL in range; total high. HBA1C - in prediabetic range, trending down (high, thanks to a previous round of statins). BP - normal. A much improved result over my last labs. Just yesterday, doc goes over my latest labs and prescribes FOUR different medications to control glucose and cholesterol, including statins. The same meds the last doc prescribed - that I didn't take, in the same dosages. Despite saying 'no meds!', doc's answer: 'you need to lower cholesterol'. Backstory: hypothyroidism is my only genuine health issue. ALL the medications doc prescribed are contraindicated for thyroid patients.

The last few years Ive been focusing on creating a food forest all organic fruit trees, berry bushes, grape vines as well as 80 varieties of perennial medicinal plants. I am now working on my 2nd food forest since I bought vacant land and cleared about 2 acres and starting over. All organic no fertilizers we stay away from grocery stores they have nothing to offer us. It would be awesome to have an interview to share not only food security but natural health with homegrown nutritious plants grown in all organic made soil. Keep in mind everyone it's not always about what we need put in our body but what we need to take out as well since we're surrounded by toxic crap everywhere we need detox our system regularly. I’d like to see a video about overdiagnosing and overtreating scan results, specifically lung nodules. It’s very common, yet most people are unaware they even have this condition. Over 95% are benign. I had 6 top specialists weigh in, over a 5 year period, but no one could agree on size. The surgeon described it as “teeny tiny.” In fact, it may have decreased. I was talked into a robotic bronchoscopy, which was non-diagnostic, but identified benign cells. Pet scan did not light up at all. Was told next step would be wedge resection lung surgery “just in case.” I said, No thank you.

As a diagnostic radiologist i struggled to educate other Drs on the basics of Bayes theorem which should have been compulsory training at medical school. Med schools churn out robots unable to formulate a diagnosis based on patient history, clinical signs, and prevalent disorders based on these two. They fire off requests and are unable to interpret BOTH positive AND NEGATIVE results. Most importantly, they are unable to comprehend that a negative result may mean they ordered the WRONG test.

Something very suspicious in the medical community. My father has been hospitalized for several weeks and I have been harassed (at least 20 times) almost daily, doctors calling me requesting me to put him on a DNR status I keep refusing, however I continue to keep getting calls, being pressured highly into doing it even though he enjoys life is happily and pain-free. I’m not sure what’s going on but something is definitely different from years past. I am a retired nurse, and once the patients family is asked about a DNR, it’s recorded in the chart and is respected. I’ve never in my life could imagine what’s going on. People need to be aware.

Since April, 2022, Nurse Practitioners no longer have to practice under the supervision of a physician in New York State. What are your feelings regarding NPs having all the abilities of a physician (diagnosing, ordering tests, prescribing medications, etc.? My local health care organization that I have relied on for 20 years or so notified me recently that my primary care physician had left and my care would be in the hands of an NP. When I inquired is it was possible to be assigned to an MD, I was told there are NO MD's working at the facility - only NPs. I am in the process of looking for a primary care physician (I'm elderly) and do not want to trust my care to an individual with only 6 to 8 years education.

It’s the same in Illinois. I had a bad experience with a NP when I was assigned to her after my doctor went on sabbatical. She was unhappy with a med I was taking and had been on since 2000. She threatened, yes threatened, to stop prescribing it. This med requires a taper or I could get seizures or die if I abruptly stop it. I requested her help in tapering off, but she didn’t want to help me with the taper. My guess is she didn’t KNOW how. I found another doctor after the stress she put me through. I don’t want to work with NPs.
