The sources you mentioned are spot on . Another great place is Planet BMX. I find their selection of products is awesome and have built several old and mid school BMX bikes. Prices can be a bit steep but what isn't. That goes for any supplier these days though.

I just purchase a rough looking 88 dyno pro compe for $650 @ auction. Only thing missing was the tires .. Currently rebuilding it.. What a steal

The Rotor performed poorly, too much friction on the stem. The Gyro is still made today, same as the original, because it performs flawlessly. There are also newer aluminum gyros, with sealed precision bearings. Amazon has them all.

Like the tips, I'm looking to restore my 85 Robinson pro to how I had it back in the day with period correct parts. I've looked but just can't find a 1986 or 87 Robinson 24 cruiser frame and fork at a reasonable price point(found an 87 but the guy wanted like $12000.00 for it).

I had a 1887 GT pro series mach 1 Performer when I was a kid man that bike stock was fast !!! Love old bikes I still have the frame up in my attic needs new decals, for some reason I got a new bike and I wanted to take apart the GT and I did but I was to young to put it back together and yea that was that lost most the parts but I have the frame lol

I love bmx specially flatland but i dont have a real strong one so i build mine from scratch from junk yards and ive just started but my stem keeps rotating and wont lock together so ive just full welded it so it wont move anymore hahaha Amazing classic bmx though i love them

I have a hoard of midscool Hoffman’s and dirt bros ind , some to note 03 pro team condor , 03 star series condor , 02 pro team after market instrument, 03 star series instrument, 98 ek wembley ed , 01 dbi patriot, and an nos never built complete red dbi short bus ,just to name a few . I trail round bootsales one of my better finds was a green haro sport mine for £12 (he wanted £15 lol)a 84 performer with hutch areospeed cranks £5 (it had no wheels on it a motomag mongoose £40 ,a dimond back viper £30,yammaha moto bike £10,a 24"hutch and a 24"brew both for £42 ,king dirt and a holmes where free someone left them after the sale was over and loadsa stuff like dks haros wtp easterns where under £20 and a fly devon smillie for £35 theres loadsa bargains at sales and i havent even started on auctions .

Join a group/ forum, Youll make friends and do deal after deal after deal. None of this reproduction shite. Id say after 10 yrs of doing this across the boards locally and internationaly, Ive found 90% of o/s bmxers avoid ebay and tbh, if it wasnt for newschoolers id say the shops/ online outlets would sink. After countless builds, in the decade ive been collecting, ive probably used bmx specific shops 30, maybe 40 times. Just my twopeneth. STAY RAD 🤙🤙🤙
