awesome 👌 video on your equipment. I have the 90.3 and wanted to install only 1 klir and want to block off the 1st sock hole, found last comments from your viewer. thx

@@BillysReefRx with the water box, the klir plug diverter does not fit because area glass is too narrow, I tool the mesh sock and covered the black silence with thick plastic bag and plugged it and it does work but worried the plastic would degrade in salt water any idea for a temp plug? when if I do decide to use the klir do fleece roller. sorry suggestions tips would help and appreciated 🙂

You could take some acrylic and put it over the sock hole and then take some reef safe silicone to glue the acrylic down. It would be more of a permanent solution but you could always undo it down the road if needed. Because I use to use a ziplock bag to cover the silencer in the very beginning when I was waiting on my 2nd roller to come in but had the same concerns as you with the plastic degrading.

@@BillysReefRx thanks alot definitely will look into that. leaning towards the klir because I don't want to remove the sock tray and siliconed glass divider and re plumb. thanks again for your help

No problem. Also just thought if this…if you still have your silencer cap, just fill the holes with silicone. Then it would be removable.

How was your purchase experience with this tank at OSA. Are your fish also from them? I am also from RI and have only purchased corals from OSA thus far. Im getting a new tank and trying to decide between this or waterbox’s 4ft frag version. Very hard choice.

Hi reef. Tank looks great! I just have 1 question for you: I have the same tank as you and am looking into the klir filter roller. I purchased the 4” cap to place on the first filter sock section and it actually is too big: doesn’t fit so i have to return it and find a different cap (I only want to run 1 filter roller). Did you have any issues getting the 4” filter roller to fit? Thanks in advance!

Hi. I did not have any issues getting the klir to fit. I did have to change out the plate (can’t think of a better word to describe what I’m talking about) it came with with a different size. I got 3 different sizes to use. Try changing that out and see if that works for you.

Thanks for the quick reply. I actually bought the klir flow diverging cap, which is separate. I plan to purchase the klir fleece roller next. Have you always ran 2 of them or did you have 1 at one point in time? Curious what your thoughts would be on rubbing 1 of them. My tank stock is similar to yours in bio load.

Ohh I see. At first I only ran 1 roller. What I did was I took the sock silencer cap that came with the tank and put it in a plastic ziplock bag, and threw it in there as a cover. But that was only temporary. I would be cautious doing that with the ziplock because of the plastic. Don’t know if that may cause anything bad for the tank if it started to break down. I only did that for a week or 2. I have not tried the klir flow diverging cap. It’s a shame to hear that didn’t fit.

I’m likely going to do the 1 roller and look for a more permanent solution to cover up the first filter sock section. I’ll follow-up once I find something!

@@docpalmer hi there, I in the same boat, I have the 90.3 and want to install only 1 klir with blocking off the 1st sock hole. I have the sicce 3 and have the pump dialed all way down and have the return water at minimal flow into the sump reducing the water flow into 1st sock. sorry the rant, any update on your setup? I u have klir set up how is it holding up and have it been a game changer. thx

Hello, what is the distance between the light and the water box?

That’s my dream tank. Do you know how heavy is it when fully loaded? I wanna have it in my living room which is above the basement

I estimated it to weigh somewhere around 1500 pounds. If you are above the basement you could easily support the floor below it if needed.

@@BillysReefRx do you mean i have to reenforce the floor below if wanted to go or it’s good enough? My house doesn’t have 2nd floor. Like a ranch style for main level and basement and garage right below it. My basement is fully renovated so i dont wanna break it down again lol

I’m not saying one way or the other I’m just saying if you needed to it would be easier than the second floor. If you are unsure if your floor would hold, hire a structural engineer. It would be money well spent, it will help you sleep better at night.
