Thank you for stopping by to watch your video on how to remove your 2007-2011 Honda CR-V fender. This was a pretty quick job but man, there were so many clips on that fender liner. We're not complaining because Honda vehicles are some of the easiest to work on.
TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a Philips screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, or a panel clip removal tool, and a 10mm wrench or socket wrench.
THE PROCESS:
This is a very quick removal video for us. We did things a little differently and just went straight to the removal process. The fender liner has quite a few plastic push-pins and it's a lot easier to use a panel clip removal tool. We used a flat-head screwdriver and it did the trick. You have to pry the clip up and pop it out. Repeat this step with all the clips around on the fender liner.
You also have to remove the front end of the bumper. There is a bolt on the very corner of the fender on the front. You don't have to remove the entire bumper, you just have to separate the corner. We recommend that you take the bolt off at this point, but for some reason, we waited. You also have to take off the rocker molding panel to get to the bottom fender bolt. Luckily, the rocker panel has 2 pieces, and you can only remove the small part to expose the bolt. Next, we moved to the top bolts. These are very easy to get to but they are near the windshield cowl and between the door and the fender. Lastly, there are about 3 to 4 fender bolts under the hood. You do have to remove the plastic panel but it's only held on by a couple push-pins.
