Re the paragraph you found confusing, I think the point was that media was implying that Meghan was basically shilling for free fashion items which made her look tacky, cheap and (in every normal person's view) vulgar and unroyal. She was trying at the same time, to balance a life of free stuff and being considered a social media influencer, with being an elegant and dignified representative of the Royal family. Poor Queen Elizabeth must have been going mad behind the scenes, and definitely deserved so much better in her twilight years.

The incident in Fiji with UN Women just shows how little interest Meghan had in what had been organised. The visit must have been in the brief and UNW referenced so Meghan could have vetoed this visit and asked for something else to be scheduled. One of the best parts of Bower's book was his take on how nonsensical Harry's comparison of Diana to his wife is. This was after Thomas had retired, when he barely had enough money to cover his own expenses. *Meghan was 30 years old, working on Suits & making more money than her recently retired father, yet she still accepted his money. (They gave Thomas some kind of handwritten "voucher" in exchange for his $20,000 contribution.)* So when Meghan gave him $20,000, a few years later, it would have been no more than returning his gift, imo. Unless Thomas also accepted *other* large payments from Meghan (I haven't heard of any) then I believe Thomas was essentially telling the truth because it was only fair that Meghan should make some kind of "return" for a "gift" that she should never have accepted.

Hey! I so enjoy watching your videos! Just a quick FYI about Jason Knauf: Prince William recently made him a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order at Windsor Castle. Since the bulling report against Meghan isn’t going to be released, to my knowledge, this award shows the high regard Prince William has for Mr. Knauf’s work and loyalty to him. I thought this was very telling. Wishing you all the best and much success from South East Tennessee!!

When Harry asked to move out of Nottingham Cottage he first asked the Queen to move into a wing of Windsor Castle but the Queen vetoed that. My belief is that he and MM believed that if they were in Windsor Castle they would be able to have private access to the Queen, since they were so close by, and have the ability to ask for more privileges without either Charles or William being involved. When that proposal was turned down the Queen offered them Frogmore Cottage which they accepted. However this turned out to be a bit of a sick joke on them because they mistook Frogmore Cottage for Frogmore House ( which is a much larger and grander building ) but when they realised their mistake it was too late and they couldn’t back out. So in the end they were stuck with Frogmore Cottage which was not what they wanted.

Meghan was mad at being called out for promoting her ‘friends’ clothing, accessories etc. At this point it was obvious that Meghan was using her position to promote her ‘friends’, which was & is essentially forbidden for Royals to do. There is speculation that Meghan was getting kickbacks. In addition, Royals will predominantly wear UK brands, or if travelling on tour, wear clothing by local designers in the countries they are visiting.

The issue with promoting the Serena Williams jacket was that the British media had called her out in those early days. Meghan thought she could quietly merch her style to the US without the British, and the Royal Family, figuring out the grift. Meghan knew she had the opportunity to gain favour with influential A listers in America as HRH the Duchess of Sussex. However, the British called her out not so much for merching but for not promoting a British designer. Meghan didn't like anything to get in the way of monetizing her new brand. This culminated in the ending of the Sussex Royal brand by HMTQ with Brexit.

Because the 2 of them have so little in common, I believe that they really built their relationship by doing little more than finding things to be offended by. Meghan played the role of the poor misunderstood, distressed damsel, and Harry made himself feel important by being her protector.. Its probably the only thing they talked about. I do wish people would stop saying Diana was a victim, Bower does the same. Something many people don't know is Bower was an anti monarchist who like many people fell for Diana, the same woman who had already had an affair by the time Harry was born. The book he wrote about Charles was a hatchet job because he wanted William to ascend the throne and not Charles. The book included an egregious allegation made by a member of his staff who suffered from a mental illness most of his life and Diana supposedly taped the man when he was in a mental hospital to use it against Charles. Diana suffered from a personality disorder and was hell to live with, her parents very public divorce where her dad fought for custody of the children and promptly had little to do with them affected her badly. Her own brother would not let her stay with him when the marriage to Charles happened because of her behaviour, the marriage broke down like many do and its almost both sides that share the blame. Diana had the police visit because she harassed one of her livers wife including phoning her and hanging up 300 times. I give her credit though because she eventually turned around her life. She was friends with Charles and had found her place in life and became the people princess loved by many. It was really sad that Charles was portrayed as the villain for years as well as Camilla because before Diana's death she did not hate Camilla

Honestly I don’t know where this nonsense narrative that the trip to Sydney was such a success came from. It’s time to let it go - I worked in the area of the CBD they visited and near where they stayed - almost no one knew they were in town. We walked past them at the opera house and there was almost no one there to great them, just a few dozen people and you’d usually have more people than that hanging out there just for the view. The invictus games was also not a big thing for locals. They just didn’t register at all with Sydneysiders.
