View towards arcanist are quite varied. Afterall Blonney still have a lot of human friends despite being an Arcanist.

I mean the further we get reversed in time, the higher the arcanist discrimination is. If you remember the chapter 3 history lesson, the discrimination in the distant past was a lot worse, like really worse. Except for this land though because Vila said that humans, arcanist and her own species work together in Rayashki town.

I feel like it should be less if we get closer to the point before they were discriminated...

It's a whole different story in the past though, like the medieval era for example. I wouldn't even be surprised if a random human peasant would just straight up attack an innocent arcanist during those times.

It can be, actually. In Russian rural tradition you have to pay all the due respects towards witches and mystical creatures unless you want them to mess with your life. That's why witches were never ostracized, instead, you couldn't celebrate a marriage without inviting a local witch, or when you intended to build something, a witch was to consult if there were any forces you could offend with your deeds and how to appease them. I have no idea how deeply Bluepoch writers delved into Russian culture, but yeah, Russia could be one of the cultures where arcanists would not be discriminated against, at least outside of bigger cities. edit: it's also Soviet times, when the ideas of the "Brotherhood of Nations" were extremely strong. Like, as long as you share our ideals of building communist utopia, you're in the party, no matter your skin color and the like. You can find a variety of Soviet agitation posters with this theme, so it also fits. No reason not to welcome comrades from wide waters.

Это утопленицы если быть точнее, в русских поверьях. У них нет хвостов, заместо этого были длинные волосы, а сами русалки имел ноги. Они могли быть голыми или носить белый сарафан. Порой их изображали с венками на голове. Девушки были проказливыми и порой жёсткими.
