My weakness has been my offset I test is in 2 weeks I can’t test next week because of the thanksgiving I’m not -100% confident today I practiced my offset at school and I got it down 3/5 times I hope I really get it I’m really praying this video was helpful … I’m scared in 2 weeeks I’ll forget

Hopefully you can practice before your CDL test. Need to nail the first 3 - NO POINTS. Reverse offset- first your setup. Next, ask yourself’ do I have a good setup ? If not and the trailer needs to go 10 feet to the left, keep the right and back up 5 to 10 feet. Follow up with the left and hopefully you fixed it. If not use the pull up to fix it. Know what to do- don’t hit any cones. You can do this! View all videos on the reverse offset.

View all videos on reverse offset. About 6 videos. If your trailer is 40 to 53 feet, get the good setup or if needed fix the problem. Backing into to alley, don’t back over the left line ( if you back over the line, when doing your follow up, you will encroach on the right side. It’s all about the trailer take it easy and think.

Same here! Gosh same here! Great video though! I would love to have a LIVE vid like how the straight back was video’d!!! I loose sight of my drives every time🤦🏻‍♀️! Steve can’t say it enough “small movements!” “Big turns, big trouble!” “Control the trailer, slow easy movements! Practice makes perfect! School is hard just cause we can fix the problem, but with more pull ups and GOAL, somethin we’re not allowed on test day! Beet of luck to everyone!

60 to straight. Look for 2 and a half cones in your mirror. Straight back until you’re a step and a half away from the wall, another 60 get straight and youre in there

I've been struggling like crazy to hit my maneuvers. I have days where I'm getting better, and I'm hitting my marks and landing them all and then there's days where I can't even perform a straight line back, and everything is wrong. I know I can do them because I've done them before, but the down days are really bad.

Normal- happened in the first two weeks. Motor Skills is whenever you are doing something like backing up your car into a parking spot, you don’t even think about it. Well we just know all the moves and back it up. Your CDL skills you are always in overdrive - your Brain - Eyes - Hand 🤚 are not working together. If you make a mistake, stop - ask yourself “What did I do wrong? - how can I fix it! Relax and either fix it or do it again You need to do every skill as much as possible and your motor skills will improve. You will be the Master of your trailer- it’s only goes where you want it to go. It’s okay to have a Bad Day.

@@truckerstevecdlinstructor also do you believe it true that practicing with toy trucks can help you understand the the relations between the truck and trailer? I seen a video where the instructor suggested that you can learn how to back doubles quickly by getting a toy truck with double pubs and pay attention to what happens as you move the truck?

@@YADAMNDADDY it may help but I gave up trying to back Double Trailer. I have a remote toy tractor trailer that is very helpful.
